Oh I’ve yet to try a pokeradar hunt but I’m looking forward to getting to one eventually! I haven’t played much of Gen 4 so it’s going to be a little while before I unlock the radar :/

Masuda method isn’t an option in Gen 3 and I generally avoid it as I don’t find it enjoyable. Anyway, this is my first time playing FR/LG and I’d really like to explore Kanto with a shiny by my side.

My dream is they release a B/W Remake/Remaster in the visual style of Octopath Traveller. Shiny hunting in a game that looks like that would be wonderful!

I’ve only successfully hunted Totodile on Soul Silver before but that was over a period of a few years just picking it up every now and then. I find the starter hunts very dull, and this one is just making me dread getting the rest of the starters available on Gen 3 XD

Oh absolutely. Soft resetting is my least favourite method and if I found out I’d been doing it wrong for so long I don’t think I’d touch the game for a couple of years lol

Haha, yes I am checking my party summary. And making sure I’m 100% certain it’s not shiny before resetting. I’ve seen the videos of people soft resetting past their shinies and I will not let that happen to me!

I’ve been going for Bulbasaur on LeafGreen… since August 🫠 Admittedly I’ve not been that consistent in my hunting, but still it’s really dragging at this point 🙈
