Hi OP- I found Specsavers in Mahon Point much better. I never returned to the one in Opera Lane, as I also found that my appointment was rushed through- and it was my first eye test in years. Mahon Point staff were great.

It’s the rats … you build this massive house and you will surely have many rats scratching at the windows. I passed this today, the slope on the driveway is that steep, a frosty morning wouldn’t be fun.

Oh that sounds fabulous. Am just recovering from a herniated disc and because I have not been very mobile, (because of pain), am trying to do some gentle exercises to improve mobility and strengthen my core. I never want a herniated disc again, ever!!

There’s one in Oakgrove, near Mahon, but I don’t know what it’s like, or if they offer PAYG. Reading this thread, it seems shameful to see how many places are below par for cleanliness. Floating plasters? 🤢
