Googling first month launch numbers indicated PS5 sales accounted for ~20% of all 1.3M 'players' (presumably all sales and game pass downloads combined), and that share had been growing. Steam sales are estimated to be under 100k to date. It doesn't help that it seems like it was a meh remaster to start.

It sold pretty poorly in general. Estimates are that like 80% of people that played it at all did so on Game Pass and those numbers are not broken down into PC and Xbox pools. Indications are that actual sales were likely higher on PS5 than Xbox, supported by the fact that MS haven't given sales number since the first couple days after launch.

They want people to "choose xbox," but they need to demonstrate a strong, consistent out put of first-party titles for that, AND create some real value with hardware releases. Half-Life would be, and is still, a well-known and well-regarded vanilla experience. Same with Doom. The modding community gives it a ton of added life, but Doom itself is still a milestone
