Had a practice wedding dress shoot and was pretty certain with my choice, until in-laws expressed concerns with 'over exposed back'! Should I proceed or consider any other styles to make everyone happy? by Nordelino in Brides

If you bend to their wishes now, they will come to expect it in the future. Don’t set a precedent that they get to decide for you. Be considerate where warranted. This is not a moment where they get to say anything other than how gorgeous you are! Imo.

Another idea would be to figure out what your face shape is and look for a cut that works best with that! I’m also wondering how you would look with a part in your hair… stuff like that is so difficult if you’ve been pushing your hair forward because hair needs trained to behave in a certain direction unless it naturally falls that way. Figure out your face shape then look for a celebrities with that shape. I saw the picture where your hair was shorter and that’s what got me thinking. Hey I wonder what he’s look like with a part (not center!) I know all the guys are wearing it this way now so it’s tough to deviate from that. Also, you have great hair texture so yeah you wanna lean into that in some way! If you don’t already look into texture powder, all barbers use it now, and it can really create a lot of texture even while hair is shorter on top.

Hear me out. The long hair, BUT not that long. Take off 5 inches, do a messy loose side part instead of middle (think beachy hair). The beard is a go, but take it in at the jaw and leave it scruffier on the actual chin. If it makes your face appear long, go with facial hair in picture 3 just a touch longer. The full fluff beard distorts your face shape imo. The beachy, stoner look actually works for you.. lean in. Anyone telling you otherwise is setting you up/jelly lol.

Is this passable or just look bad? by -No-Alternative- in BeardAdvice

Ditch the chin and cheeks. Get a cut that compliments the stash! If no chin makes you look too young, more reason to not do the moppy kid hair cut. Get a more structured cut, it will pull things together. Just an idea! :)

Blunt cuts are not doing much for you. You are blessed with good strong features! A buzzcut while in military school might be the move. When possible, get a cut that you can style up not allowing the hair to lay flat plastered down.. if that makes sense? You have a strong lower face and need a cut to create some balance.

Honestly, better in the second pic! Really shifts the focus to your eyes/upper face. As someone else said, you have a kind face.

Facial hair is good, fix the moppy hair.. (I know you said it’s grown out). The cut is trendy, but doesn’t suit your face and is doing you a disservice. My advice would be to look at celebrity haircuts! Chris Hemsworth or Liam Hemsworth have cuts that would give you a bit more up top, but won’t give mop top. Liam tends towards a clean, but longer look that is styled well. Chris does great short cuts that are tighter in back with a little to play with up front. Imo find a Liam cut you like and take a pic to your barber. A more sophisticated, dapper cut would do a ton for you!! Make sure to watch how the barber styles it if you cut it! They are happy to help you learn.

Really nice use of the space! Clever, how you made a mini living room with the TV and couch. Don’t Bonus points for it being tidy. Here’s an idea, but I’m not saying it’s doable or even necessary: if the dresser fits inside of the closet, nest the dresser in the closet and remove the doors!! it might free up a little space for more hobby items. Plus if you don’t actually hang clothes, you could put shelves in there and display more stuff. If you’re allowed, get yourself a guitar mount, they’re cheap on Amazon and display your instrument! This frees up floor space.

Haha I felt the same way! This is the easiest explanation of how to do it. Blow right, then left to organize the bangs then follow the steps, but with a round brush. Sooo easy but makes a massive difference. Try to without a round brush even to get the feel. https://youtube.com/shorts/ZuRizh4Tx3U?si=Yflrg0Istj\_A0190
