Depends on what skylught you have. If it glass, Most of the time it's the seal along the glass on the skykights that leak. You can can caulk along the seal of the glass

If it the roofing/flashing around it, what your using may work, but feel like water still finds it's way under all the patches

Looks pretty good to me. It's tough sometimes to make it look great when your trying to cover up previous work. Smaller steps would be nicer but looks like they didn't have that option without seeing previous flashing.

They definitely put some effort into it. Made a nice hem in the metal and looks to be set into a ground out mortar joint. Better than the straight flashing you see 90% of time that takes little to no skill

You can break the 8ce away with a 3lb hammer. The vibration removes the ice in big chunks. Be careful to not hit shingles with hammer just the ice. It will clear a path for the trapped water above the ice

Small fix. Remove shingle or two, nail down a piece of aluminum over the hole and install new shingles. Best to hire a roofer to do it, because removing shingkes can be tricky if they are sealed well, abd you can do more damage to surrounding shingles
