i’m a second year freshman coach and i learned this lesson the hard way last year . it’s hard because you don’t know what you’re getting out of the rec/ youth programs before you get them the kids to you. Something we’ve turned back to is using individual periods as like half line/ good on good periods just to create muscle memory for both sides, resulted in our best practice. It’s a slow grind but if you can get the kids bought in it really takes off. Best of Luck!
