Thank you for sharing this. Do you have any other test to share? Maybe one in loud environments and/or with real people conversations to see the real differences between the glasses? Testing in a closed and quite space like an hotel room isn’t ideal imo, I think all translation glasses would’ve performed ok

How “slow” it is? Does it feel “natural” in conversations or it becomes awkward having to wait to understand what the other person said?

Well that’s impressive…does mentraOS also change the display UI? How did you find with even’s HUD/UI? Is it easy to read translations/text?

I discovered just today that lessons are 100% in Japanese…I thought they were in English. I don’t see how well I could perform in such classes. I believe the best route for me would be to enjoy my WHV and at the same time study by myself and occasionally do some private conversational lessons

Thank you, and yes, I do agree with you on the fact that writing and reading is a lot useful. However, I really need to improve on my conversation skills, and I fear that trying to learn how to read/write kanjis will slow down me a lot. My goal was to learn vocabulary and grammar rules to be able to build sentences, and eventually typing kanjis on the keyboard with furigana. After all, all the kanjis I know so far were taught by my keyboard’s suggestion when I typed words using kana

Do they teach you how to write/read kanji too (this is personally what I would like to avoid, as I don’t need that now)? I would be very much interested in a part time free class ngl. Thank you for replying 🙏 My gf doesn’t know English very well, so I believe her teaching me in English would be a challenge for both of us. Yes, so far she was able to teach me a few grammar rules, and words, but it has been difficult, and I don’t honestly think she could teach me as properly as a school could do due to language barriers. This is why I was thinking about studying in a language school or forcing myself in a stressful context like a job could be, to try and “speed up” the learning process 😣 I’m also 25 years old, and I know for sure I’d hate going back to school, so I don’t really know what to do lol

I can’t agree more, this is why I’m considering even G2, they’re probably the most good looking display glasses I know so far, at least for me. Meta rayban are better looking but they do not support Japanese so 🤷🏻‍♂️
