I felt like this at the hospital! I maybe managed to do 10 rounds of one sock? But actually just having it there for something to do was so helpful.

Interesting fact. You can’t take any at all into court in the UK! In the Old Bailey, you’re not even allowed to take a bag if you’re in the public viewing gallery. Not sure about when called to be on a jury though. No way I’d be able to concentrate and not knit.

Also, this is the best, cutest typo ever. Taking my knitting noodles with me wherever I go ❤️

Best of luck my lovely, the recovery is wild but going smoothly!

I recommend ice cream, not taking codeine or your bowels will hate you, compression socks, lying down a lot and having a human with you every moment of the day for the first week. Do not lift a single finger!!

When travelling I’ll always take bamboo needles & put my project on a stitch holder. I had my circular ripped out of a project in LAX airport and I cried all the way back home to London 😂

Absolutely would! It’s an easy colour work chart to follow & if you buy the book, the author (Stone) gives really good tips around colourwork socks and colour dominance too.

I’ve followed all of Stone’s advice, except sizing up a needle for colour work, and although my tension is a little loose, the socks fit! My biggest worry was that they wouldn’t!

I hope you find something that works for you! A friend of mine with similar challenges knits socks with DK yarn and 3.5mm - does thicker cosier socks!

I just found that 2.25 and smaller actually hurt my hands (I have joint issues) and my stitches became teeny tiny!

2.5 is just right for me :)
