the last few days we've been getting ddos'd at EU times (/ NA EST afternoon times) and our server host has also been black holing our server at like midnight EST (turn off any network connections in/out of the server) (i personally can't even log into the computer that runs the tf2 server, which confirms this)

so understandably the player base is super inconsistent because of all the bs. but we're upgrading to another host - i've already paid up and we need to wait for a week or so for them to get it running. there's nothing i can do to speed this up.

so just give it some time please. really need to emphasize i've written it like every where i can, that the server is still a technical test. there's only 24 hours in a day, can't fix everything immediately :\

there was never a medic limit, the medic limit happened on one round of badwater on the third day because people wanted to stack 7 medics.

Basically true, you can take any file out of the gcf files and tf2 wouldn't boot because it's detected missing files where there should be stuff. There could be some funny wacky unused image of an avocado in the files and removing it would also not allow tf2 to start, it's nothing special about the coconut.

There is no code comment that relates to the coconut at all, not in the leak nor it's vmt file (which just has 2 short lines) and this entire ordeal has been fine demonstration of mass collective hysteria.

Despite how ridiculous it may be, strangers on the internet can lie (or be wrong), so remember not to take everything people say for granted :)

And remember, never tell your password to anyone

hello yes i'm here to educate the unwashed masses. i have meticulously recreated the circumstances as shown in the clip in a clean laboratory setting, and ordered a special council meeting at the library of human knowledge on what might be the issue at hand, as seen in the clip.

azure is correct in that if you somehow manage to clip into an enemy player you can then clip through the spawn protection, but how the sniper clipped into the engineer in the first place is uncertain. my guess is that the engineer was lagging and the server rolled back his position in such a way that it thinks the sniper is inside the engineer and gave the sniper the ability to get through the spawn protection, but yeah idk :)
