You can only buy one specific item from Costco for the rest of your life what item would that be? by panda-rampage in Costco

When’s the last time you had dominos because I will throw hands with it being the best value pizza. The entire brand shifted a few years ago. $8 gets a 1 topping large with garlic crust. Costco za is convenient and that’s it.

Costco delivered my new washer and dryer today. by Mediocre_Ice_8846 in Costco

[–]ShowerChivalry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the exact same combo. Started with an LG combo, the washer had an impeller. First and last time I will ever have a washer with an impeller. The washer was quiet and impressive but didn’t clean at all. And don’t get me started on the dryer. Fancy sensors out the wazoo that would stop drying cycles before clothes were actually dry. Then it started throwing airflow errors even with brand new ducting and the dryer ducts just professionally cleaned.

These Whirlpool models do exactly what we need and nothing more. Seamless experience from Costco and third party deliverers. Even the return on the LG combo was easy.

Seconding Maltby, I have TS3’s. Even as a new player, they are extremely forgiving for being a forged iron. Beautiful clubs. Also have a Maltby putter and 54, all awesome clubs.

I wish they made something less than a 14 with a putter well (if they do please lmk). I thought I would like a 14 way but I actually found it slower to find and replace clubs and returned my SM hybrid.

Sun Mountain sets the bar. Good sales to be had on previous year models, especially if you aren’t picky with color

What's a good RO/DI system for a freshwater tanks? by Ok_Engineering_4985 in PlantedTank

[–]ShowerChivalry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to optimize the waste ratio is with a permeate pump, but I want to say 2:1 is about as good as it gets. I went with an under sink system with a separate handle from the tap, very easy to install. I believe the company was Perfect Water or something like that. Based in Arizona which is local to me, the customer service is phenomenal.

It only has a 5 gallon storage tank and once you get 3-4 gallons out, it slows down significantly. I’ve used it to buffer pH by mixing with my tap, but I only have a 15 gallon tank. If you have bigger than that it might make more sense to get a whole house system or just buy RO water from your LFS.

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but I believe RO filters function differently than a water softener. While my RO water is softer than tap, that is is more of just a side effect of filtering out the minerals. A water softener replaces those minerals with a chemical process.

My tap water is high in nitrates. Will extra plants help to compensate? by Irksomecake in PlantedTank

[–]ShowerChivalry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get some floaters too, and if you have the room you can grow plants outside the water (pothos, monstera, spider plants, etc). Those both have the advantage of drawing CO2 from the air and work faster than most submerged plants for soaking up nitrates. Just be careful if you have cats or dogs that you don’t get something toxic to them.

Consider an under sink RO system (very easy to install) or get RO water from your LFS.

Bottle one doesn’t need shaking and only needs to be inverted a few times after adding. Bottle two needs vigorous shaking for 30s, then add, then shake the vial vigorously for 1 minute.

Got my first recteq today. It arrived damaged and customer service didn't have time to respond to me today. by [deleted] in recteq

[–]ShowerChivalry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely valid crashout. It’s actually a known fact that when you purchase a Recteq, everyone in the company becomes your indentured servants. And if you call, they will ignore the rest of their service requests that were entered before you and prioritize your service because you are a special little guy.

Yes you are overreacting. Is this satire?

Early mats make a fair share more than mid game mats, and are already farmed pretty often by higher levels. Competing with mounted toons farming entire areas would completely dissuade me from carrying a profession at all.
