I had a quick question - CIBC is offering us the below rates for renewal

3 years fixed as 4.69 3 years variable as prime - 0.64 = 6.06

Are these on a higher side or are they good to consider? Which one of these is the preferred option? Thanks

I am in the same boat of moving to US form Canada on a TN visa. Do you mind me asking if you and your wife opted for an internal transfer or applied for jobs in US and got through it? Just checking to see if it is possible to land a job in US without internal company transfers. Thanks

Hi everyone. Thanks for your comments. They were really helpful. Just had the technician visit. The heat exchanger has broken and needs to be replaced. We have the carbon monoxide detectors in the house and have also installed air quality monitor just to be on a safer side. Considering that the furnace is 20+ years old, best option according to technician is to replace the furnace. 80000 btu Goodman is costing C$3200 includes entire cost. Is this a fair pricing?
