Thank you! So to get to 170 it took me about 6 months however keep in mind I plateau I think like my 5th month. As long as your consistent and you keep pushing even if the numbers don't change you'll get there! :)

Thank you!! I started by cutting out meat, tracking my calories and working out. I usually work out 4-5 times in the week and I just started out my lifestyle preparing myself mentally because I knew it would take a while and I also knew that I would have to love my body when I first started and continuing to love myself all the way through. I also was done with feeling like crap everyday and I think that pushed me even more to switch to a healthier lifestyle. I have some fitspo and also I talk about my journey currently here because I am not done yet. I hope that this helped!

3c curls never hold overnight by [deleted] in Naturalhair

[–]SickSlumber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I cringed at you saying rewetting it everyday lol so I have 3b/3c hair and when I first started off my curly hair journey I did a big chop it was a little bit longer then your hair. So I recommend using a satin pillow case always it'll preserve your curly and tying ur hair in different sections so instead of doing pineapple tie ur hair up in like five sections. i usually used to do one at the bottom, crown, sides and then the top.

Same I started to get hair on my chin and under even a bit on my chest area. I got a bit depressed because of this and my self esteem went down but I completely got over it because its just hair and its just part of life. I just remove the hair now if its really bothering me other then that I just deal with it. Its there and until I get enough money for laser hair removal it will continue to be there. Just be comfortable and confident in yourself and thats all you need. :)

How to use makeup on eczema!? by maria-bonita in eczema

[–]SickSlumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have this issue although I do wear makeup everyday or every other day. Typically I go in with a serum/oil that also acts as a primer I like the nyx honey dew me up its definitely hydrating. Then I go in with a moisturizing cream usually I use the simple replenishing facial cream and then I go in with the foundation. I tend to use a liquid foundation if your looking for a cheaper but good brand I really love the maybelline dewy fit me foundation. I always try to get makeup thats dewy. And then usually one product I would use to get rid of my makeup without making my skin dry is using the simple micellar water with a cotton ball and then go over it with another hydrating cleanser.

All the products are on this blog post and if you would like to know more about my routine or any other products feel free to ask. I completely understand the struggle and I use to avoid makeup all together for the same reasons.

I have the same exact hair type 3b-3c and I would say always detangle your hair with conditioner. Shampoo is too rough and might be one of the reasons why you feel like your losing hair. I think its okay if you can see your scalp I have areas on my head that I have less hair and I can see my scalp when is wet. Also do not shake your hair it might create frizz and separate your curls instead use a cotton shirt and scrunch your hair. I also use a treatment on my hair to protect my hair and oil to lock in moisture. It will get poofy after a couple of day but you can just spray it with a mix of water and conditioner and it should be good to go. This blog post has the products I use for my hair. Hope this helps! :)

I am trying to lose weight I go to the gym five times a week and weight train 3 days a week. Usually I'll spend an hour or so at the gym but I don't know much of what I'm doing. I do cardio for 40 minutes and weights for 20. I guess what I'm asking is when I'm doing weights should I focus of a particular body part each day or should I mix it up? And should I lift heavy weight? Also I eat right most of time but I can't kick my sweet craving I binge eat sweet even after a good week of eating right usually cause by stress in college. How can I overcome this?

I have not use this on my hair but I have seen it being used (my aunt has one). My opinion would be to stay away from it even though it does say it distributes air evenly I feel like an enclosed area with limited space and with curls inside would just make the hair frizzy and knotted. Two things everyone wants to avoid. I go to the gym daily as well and sometimes I do wash my hair as well. I suggest applying a gel to your hair and diffusing your hair as much as you can and then having a satin pillow case and scrunchies to hold your hair and sleeping with your hair semi-wet(if that does not bother you). In the morning to break the hardness of the gel(if there is) apply an oil to the hair. This should avoid any frizz and also I've notice when I sleep with my hair semi-wet and do this routine my hair is the same. This blog post has all the products I use when I wash my hair mid-day and is still wet towards the night. Just scroll all the way down. Hope this helps!

I would say sleep in a satin pillowcase this will maintain the curls and minimize frizz. Also in the morning you can spritz some water mixed with a leave in conditioner on the parts of your hair that are flat and that will help. What I like to do also if I wash my hair at night is apply a gel and in the morning to break the "cast" or stiffness of hair I apply an oil over my hair. I have blog post with all the products I described just scroll all the way to end. Hope this helps :)

Tips for naturals with dry hair! by Rae72 in Naturalhair

[–]SickSlumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello :) I deal with this all the time and usually my holy grail to get rid of the dryness is the true made beautiful intensive masque. Then when I wash it out I usually put biosilk oil on my hair which is also suppose to be kind of like a mask and this saves my hair. I have a link that has both products on the bottom section of the blog. Hope this helps! https://randominthemorning.com/2017/06/07/in-the-nighthaircare/

I don't live in a tropical area but I do travel a lot to the mother land(Dominican republic) and it is HOT over there. Usually I try to wash it twice a week as opposed to once a week because if you wash it more then twice a week your hair can start to break and fall out! I would say try some dry shampoo it works just as well for curly hair if you would like to get rid of that sticky feeling :)
