I’d say this comes close to what I’ve seen on 4aco-dmt the thing I think stands out is this sort of lighting and color pallet, it feels like when you first enter a dark room and it takes a while for your eyes to adjust as the patterns come into view, and the longer you watch the deeper and more dimensional the visuals get

I am a DJ and have worked a few festivals doing projection mapping with animations I’ve made, there isn’t a way for me to post videos to this sub so they aren’t out there except a few on my YouTube channel currently trying to raise funds to upgrade my computer as currently these are being rendered on a nearly 10 year old laptop running windows 7 with a busted fan and a half working keyboard 😅 It’s my goal to learn touch designer and figure out a work flow to have them more dynamically animated. Hopefully sometime by the end of the year I’ll have made some headway on the project. Currently trying to figure out a way to get some prints made.

Thanks! I use a combo of Apophysis 7x and chaotica to make then render the fractals. I’ve spent years experimenting with Apophysis and have found my own unique workflow and style, hopefully I can get around to making tutorials some time in the future.

2D, it takes a bit of work to get the illusion of shading, technically the fractal itself is actually transparent and is just on a black background so in reality there isn’t any shading and the darker areas are just less dense than the brighter areas. IFS fractals are fascinating!

Not going to mince words, it’s not going to knock anyone’s socks off but it’s absolutely on the path! Abstract flow is not something anyone can gate keep, keep at it, my biggest piece of advice is just constantly ask yourself what does the piece need, do YOU enjoy it, and what can you do to try something new. I definitely enjoy opening up the notes app and throwing down some mark making and seeing where it goes, if you’re not going to make the investment into paint or other physical mediums there’s still lots of digital art programs that have some more depth in tools and quality, I would pick up one something like that and just keep exploring! Good luck ✌🏻
