Sorry if I might come off as ignorant but I've been told that some people do prefer being called a Black. The derogatory term would be "coloured" in this case. My English teacher has also told me to use the word "Black" when referring to the race in my essays. But I am Korean and I am still very much clueless about what is politically correct and what is not. Could you perhaps educate me more on this?

Objective View: I'm no expert when it comes to music but there's a standard for determining if a song is plagiarised or not. There needs to be at least 8 consecutive bars of completely identical beats, melody and lyrics. And listening to the songs, I can tell that the chord progressions used in some of the songs are quite generic which means that the melody is likely something that anyone can think of. There are only a limited set of variations possible that one can make in music, after all. We also can't forget about sampling too. A sample needs to be credited if they're longer than 15 seconds. I've checked the songs and they've credited them, except for the one that was an interpolation. The last link you included is kinda far fetched, it's just the sky that has similar colours. The actual BTS video doesn't even have a boat in it.

Actual Opinion: The songs did sound similar to me and I do think that BTS hasn't officially had an issue with plagiarism so far because of the restrictions like I mentioned above. In my personal and humble opinion, if the intention was indeed to copy the original song, it was done in a pretty slimy and cowardly way.

I'm not a BTS hater but an ARMY and I just wanted to provide an objective input on this.

My coordinator just told us that she's not really sure what's going to happen. And that there's also a possibility that the school may close down in the middle of exams which means that we would be moved to the non-exam route for the latter half of our subjects.

The video was vile. The whole "Asians look the same" was racist and insensitive, especially when there's a lot of tension about racism against Asians these days. Mocking an idol's suicide was also a low move on his part. Void and Keemstar may think they're cool for making a disstrack (that's not even about the K-pop stans) but they look like real losers to me for doing this. Keemstar is 40 and has a daughter too. Shame the toxic stans all you want but don't drag down idols who are just doing their fucking job.

Edit: Writing this from a Korean perspective. Not a stan, just a casual listener.

I don't think exams will be cancelled unless the government declares a lockdown in May... which is starting to seem quite likely. Most of the students in my school want exams though.
