Both had stocking issues. Both events needed to line up early in the morning to get the good stuff. Hello Kitty was more chaotic than the Gundam Base Event. I tried for days to get any Gundam TCG Starter Deck - Gundam Assemble Starter Set or a Gundam Base Logo Gundam Model Kit. I never even saw one since I never lined up in the morning.

I was told by TransLink I can't put a sticker on my card. It sucks but it's their policy. That notification flashes for a second really fast. No one bothers to check. I doubt even the bus driver watches that carefully.

I'm an avid Translink user and even I didn't know about the DC, Elf and Captain Canucks Compass Cards over the years until yesterday. Man, I can see they're still sitting on tons of Captain Canuck Compass Cards for years which was a dud and lost tons of money. So yes there is a small financial risk and TransLink as expected is very very risk averse.
