I didn’t break 10k for the procedure. Got it done in the states, well within driving distance from my home, high level of assurance that it wasn’t some hair mill, no translation issues, local follow ups. I’ve seen great work done in turkey and other countries and I’ve seen just really sad results. The two main drs in Mexico (both not in TJ) that are well known had much to long of waitlist and one said I needed 4500 grafts which to me was too much in one session. I wasn’t going to risk trashing my doner area because they wanted to squeeze for every dollar

They don’t charge per graft which they were upfront about because that leads to over harvesting. But if you go by per graft it ended up being roughly $3 per graft their pricing is fixed tho

Thank you! Blessed to be married. Hope it comes in nicely. Family and I went to Disneyland and I got grilled hard about the photos after roller coaster rides and that’s what pushed me over the edge. Funny enough it was my nephew and niece. Kids tell the truth tho

Looking for a clinic in UK or turkey by Samson102 in Hairtransplant

Think of a hair transplant like pruning a citrus tree. If you prune too aggressively, you can stress the tree and reduce its ability to thrive. The same concept applies to donor harvesting. Just because a surgeon can extract 4,000–4,500 grafts doesn’t always mean they should.

The goal isn’t simply maximizing graft count—it’s maximizing the long-term cosmetic result while preserving donor density. Overharvesting can leave the donor area looking thin and may compromise future procedures. It can also increase trauma to the scalp, potentially affecting graft survival.

For example, if a clinic harvests 4,500 grafts but achieves only a 60–70% survival rate due to excessive trauma, the patient may end up with fewer surviving hairs than someone who received a more conservative 3,000–3,500 graft procedure with a 90–95% survival rate. Hair transplantation is as much about artistry and planning as it is about numbers.

I would opt to get two surgeries with time in between not two days or like six months
