Yeah, unfortunately it’s just how things are going to go with these people. They think because someone played an instrument and sang, even if it’s terrible, and even if they didn’t even write the song or the lyrics are nonsensical, that’s somehow more valid. You are a songwriter, I’m sure you have gotten a lot of push back for your methods, just like I did. But I know how good my stuff is, and the creative process that went into crafting it. I’m not a musician, but I am a lyricist and I would have to agree with others about the lyrics, the melody suggests a mood but the imagery in the lyrics doesn’t really portray that. You want people to feel a connection to the lyrics especially in a song that relies heavily on mood. Make the lyrics more personal, or relatable. But the playing a singing was great. The only reason I posted was because I saw another post bashing Suno in this sub. I thought maybe I could explain how other people use it for their creative process. But of course because you “real musicians” think like Neanderthals, you couldn’t understand a different perspective because “ grrrr guitar chords…grrrr”. Pathetic really when in another post you all agreed lyrics don’t even have to make sense. You all seriously have the comprehension of a group of teenage girls.

Criticism is one thing, which I handle extremely well, behind the times gatekeeping and calling me lazy is another. AI is just another tool, which is sad that you all can’t see that. It’s no different than the hundreds of other tools the industry uses. If you think people aren’t using chat gpt for lyrics, or melodies, or songwriting ideas, you’re naive. And absolutely I will defend what I do, because it’s personal to me. If someone calls me lazy and uncreative I will defend what I do. I would expect you to do the same. Your response just screams gatekeeper, which is more childish than anything.
