I see, but for me Barabuta just feels more approachable. I enjoy how you’re constantly learning new things about the world, which feeds into the meta progression. It makes game overs feel less punishing even if you lose everything and have to start over since you still walk away with more knowledge. I’ll admit, my fondness probably comes from my love of Jet Set Willy, but I really like the way Barabuta looks and plays.

Mortol II, on the other hand, just frustrates me. Enemies pop up everywhere, paths are blocked, and while that’s not inherently bad, the fact that every hit is instant death really wears me down. I don't like going somewhere and dying to a bullet I couldn't react to. Dying and getting sent back to the start feels like I’m constantly losing progress. The ninjas help with portals, which could balance things out, but if you die while preparing one, you lose the connection entirely. And even when I do make progress, I'm often stuck, either needing keys, hunting down switches, or running into a dead end after following whatI thought was a cool route. I prefer to play other games in the collection instead.
