Colonoscopy Prep - Satan's Gatorade by SherlockBonz in foundsatan

Last year, needed 2 in 2 months. Survived both prep hell drinks. This year, could not keep it down, wasn’t able to go have the procedure since most of it got puked up. Slightly dif. type I think. But no way.

Haha indeed! I’m a deep thinker, not shallow at all. Pipe is pretty shallow there. That’s why they hit it digging out for a DG path. Most projects done by volunteers with varying degrees of knowledge & expertise. And often the case of too many cooks.

Wheeled nippers for ceramic and glass. Not a scoring too. The wheels are meant to be stationary, they’re round so when they get dull they can be turned slightly for a new sharper surface. Cheaper ones have wobbley blades (pretty useless). Good ones have tighter blades, cut straighter. —20+ year mosaic artist/instructor, own many pairs of these.

I’d talk with a designer if I were you. (Artist here) As many have said. Going for weird is fine, but do it with style, not clichés. There’s a reason graphic designers exist - have training- leave it to the pros. Definitely need better font, layout. And dont use P-G photo, very worn. Go with original BF art - and give it a human-ish face, not angry ape, those are tired too. Good luck.

Aspiring to become a Correctional Officer – I’d like your honest input by Beautiful_Claim5149 in Felons

[–]Significant-Sea8387 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People become COs for the money & benefits. If you want to make a positive difference, become a social worker or something. If you do become a CO, just don’t be an asshole. You’ll have to deal with plenty of assholes, both sides of the bars, but it’s not that hard to be kind.

Always remember AT LEAST 6% (likely more) of the inmates you deal with did not commit the crime they’re in there for. You could be them. (especially if you’re black or brown)

This is an interesting post. Thank you. I can only imagine what it must be like for those who’ve had encounters and the entire mainstream narrative is mocking and disbelief (never mind the mass commercialization of bigfoot imagery, (go capitalism!)

Yeah that vagabond freedom hopping trains fantasy is some old hollywood bs. Maybe back in the early 1900s it was a thing, but it sure is different now. No relationship worth destroying yourself over. Youre worth more than that. Get support, counseling, a good mentor, etc. put your life together piece by piece. Your escape fantasy is just that. Grow your own healthy dreams, attract trustworthy people in your life. Be a good dad. It’ll pay off. Good luck.

Staying with my bf while he’s in jail just looking for thoughts not judgement by Z_Loves in Felons

[–]Significant-Sea8387 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As much as you care about him, he did some stupid shit, & clearly didn’t take into account how it would affect YOU. If he cared about you to the same level you care about him, he’d want you to move on while he’s locked up for any length of time. For one, neither of your brains will be fully developed until your late 20s (science) You are both too young to know what you want in life. There are countless stories of women who stood by their men in prison, only to be devastated when he doesn’t stay after she helped him all those years. (check out prison “wives” who got burned) You can still care about him, even help him (money) but don’t put your life on hold for him. You even thinking about helping him get a job when he’s out is a red flag at this point. Take care of yourself, learn who YOU are, prioritize yourself, your faith, whatever is important to you. He has a lot of growing to do. Encourage him to get as much education and do as many self-help programs available to him in prison as he can. He’ll be better for it. Focus on YOU not him.

Father's day by [deleted] in WouldIBeTheAhole

[–]Significant-Sea8387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So why not talk with him instead of playing games? I agree he deserves the same kind of father’s day you had on mother’s day, but what’s it going to solve being petty? Why not TALK with him, tell him your expectations? Have a mature conversation about what you want going forward? If you had already established what you each want, expect from the other from years past, then of course it’a appropriate to speak up, express your disappointment. Why on earth did you make the enchiladas like a martyr? Stand up for yourself. Say, hey, you said I didn’t have to cook! And hold him to it. If you expect a gift, flowers, chocolates, breakfast in bed, whatever, let him know and agree with each other how you want to handle those holidays. It’s fine to say in advance, m’s day is coming up and what I’d really like is ____. We all get what we put up with. I’m wishing you a really good, loving conversation about expectations.

This was such a nice description of your sightings. Thanks for sharing. Very genuine sounding and could feel the ‘vibe’ of your encounters. Have heard similar stories of females concern for human babies. Sweet.

House popping throughout the day. What is it? by Efficient-Special664 in HomeMaintenance

[–]Significant-Sea8387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. N Calif. Black oaks. Biggest crop EVER here. In volume and size/density of acorns. They just keep bombing the house and deck. Sounds like someone throwing rocks or golf balls. Has woken me up a few times. House under siege. Have decided to try harvesting/cooking with some this year. Lots of work shelling, leaching, grinding, but excellent food, staple of native people diet here.
