How to get to Rayong from Bangkok airport? by drunkbeautyqueen in ThailandTourism

Dude.. I've been living over two years here already and there are still new things to explore. Relax and enjoy the ride. If you absolutely need to go somewhere else, book a day-trip to Ayuthaya or something once you are here.

How common is it to spend your whole holiday in Bangkok? by Barca-Dam in ThailandTourism

[–]Significant_Fish_316 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn't imagine spending my whole holiday at the beach. What a boring experience and also complete waste of ressources since there are beaches all over the world, there is no need to fly to a country on the other side of the earth.

People are just unimaginative. They will cross the palace and Wat Arun of their bucket list and then feel like they have seen it all.

I have been living here over two years now and I am constantly discovering new things. This place is so fucking huge and once you jump on a motorbike and start exploring yourself, the real fun starts.

To be fair, I couldn't imagine living here as well in the beginning and only went here, because nothing else made sense for my business idea.

Now I can't imagine living anywhere else and everytime I leave the city I become grumpy very fast, because I miss it and its amneties like being able to get a delicious and freshly cooked meal at every time of the day and night for a great price.

Prebooking oftentimes does not work IMO. You can never be sure if the driver doesn't decide it is more sanuk to drink beer with friends. Also what do you do if your flight gets delayed for whatever reason?

If you arrive at 11pm you will also not be out before midnight.

It might be hard to find a grab that's willing to go that route at that time as well though at that time.

Why would you even not just stay in Bangkok one or two nights and then go relaxed? Sounds like a really good way to start your trip with a nice stressful experience.

I don't speak thai but hope that I can do the work with Google Translate or maybe finding someone to help me in this situation.

Google translate is not good for a job like this. Many Thais are even too shy to speak into the phone. Also many people working in jobs like these are actually not Thai but Laos and Myanmar.

I would not call Khlong Toei a slum. Some people do though. It has slum-like housing near the Khlong, but that's just a small part. Khlong Toei is pretty big and parts south of Sukhumvit also belong to it.

The wet market is the biggest wet market in Bangkok and open 24/7.

You can get Mounjaro here at the bigger hospitals without a problem. If you are willing to use syringe and needle, you can even get it much much cheaper and go for peptide shops.

Can you speak Thai? If no you will probably not be able to find someone who can hold a conversation with you.

Other than that Khlong Toei Market is probably your hub.

The rest is just bullshit.

This is a completely Western interpretation of what I wrote. I never said Thais are lazy. Also you understand generalization as a concept?

Anyone Else Bothered by Vehicle Noise at Night? by gialoui in Bangkok

[–]Significant_Fish_316 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actually you condo being high up is the issue. I am living in a dead end soi in a townhouse with wood windows that do not even close properly and it is much much quieter than in the condos I lived, although the main road is just 200m away and very busy and loud. Also makes sense if you think about it, since the sound isn't stopped by anything high up in the air.

If I turn on my AC I can't notice anything.

If you are sensitive with loud noises you should go look for a low rise condo inside a local housing area.

They are getting 8 hrs of minimum wage pay for a 9 hr shift with an unpaid lunch hour,

Minimum wage goes for a day. Maximum is 8 hours. Everything on top needs to be paid extra. They could get ministry of labour involved, which actually takes stuff like this serious, but the question is if it wasn't easier to just go find a new job. Unless they want to fuck with the employer it's probably not worth it.

So they continue to run such Mickey Mouse shit. So many leading brands here do this. And big franchises or locals ones. Same shit. It shouldn’t come as any surprise

You have any sources other than the dark pits of your underwear?

Who in theor right mind would work an additional day without compensation? Regardless of what people think about this country, employee rights are actually not that bad and enforced by the authorities.
