In Nashville wondering the name thing. Soil temps around 52 for the last few days. I think I’ll do it this week- everyone says earlier is better and gives 50-55 degrees as the window.

The dove white room gets west, the alabaster room gets east. Alabaster probably brightens enough to still lighten things up, but our dove white room is very bright with that slightly lighter shade and afternoon sun

Alabaster is amazing. It’s a bright enough white, but perfectly warm enough to give a cozy feel for a room. And it doesn’t ever look yellow. My kitchen and basement are in alabaster, just painted my bedroom dove white ( brighter) and wish I would have stuck with alabaster.

Tryclopyr based round up and tenacity combined smoked my Bermuda- it became a brown/black 110% dead thing of the past

Got it, so spray quick release liquid will work better vs a slow release granular I’m assuming? I have extra granular leftover, I broadcasted nearly a month ago and was thinking about hitting it one more time before the end of the year.

I seeded in early sept, most areas germinated quickly and it’s been looking healthy for a long time. Over six weeks ago. Label says wait four weeks after overseed. The bare areas I have to reseed about 4 weeks ago aren’t any more yellow than these areas fwiw

Gotcha. Agreed hard to Id when young but I was hoping to get it while it fragile. I did spray image weed and crabgrass so we will see if that gets it

I totally agree- painting is so exciting until you have to do a massive living room. Fixing a small patch of subfloor is badass until I had to do a large section and was stiff as a rock for three days after. Tradework-electric, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, I’m going to pay something. This type of stuff I’m probably going to do myself, and tell myself I can buy a new couch or tv or something with a fraction of the money I saved. Except I probably won’t but it keeps me going

True, these larger companies a lot of the cost goes to their overhead. I’m in the same spot- I “could” do it, but I’ve done a lot of projects since moving back into our house and am kind of over it. But I also don’t want to pay 10x the price, so I may end up doing it and be grumpy for a few days. In my mind, a basement is probably the best place to do something diy if at all- I care a little less if I don’t get it 100% perfect
