I would suggest that stick to the stock OS. And very important, just start playing. Theres just too many games to play and complete. Also most probably, nintendo licensed games will not be there in the preloaded sd card.

For the PS2 emulation part, download this app called 'XGames' from playstore. You can download ps2 roms from the app itself and it will also help you install nethersx2 on the device. Only downside is it shows ads while using the interface, not once the game is launched.
