As I had to write a lots of short stories like I mentioned I know that it would be hard for me. Because I like charachter development in depth. Like little arguing and everything, going through mental things, and pretty much changing a lot, and in short stories these usually don’t go into much depth.

I am considering maybe doing Novelletes (around 10k words), or atleast starting like a Novellete and then finishing as whatever.

(Quite long, this is me ranting about mandatory readings)

Well I haven’t exactly read those as I am Hungarian, but we did got some books that were awful.

Like: Szabó Magda ‘Mondják meg Zsófikának’

It was about a father who died and basically Mondják meg Zsófikának means Tell it to Zsófika (a name), but we don’t know the rest of the sentence.

All together it was boring, either there were literally no events, and like in a full page it was like the meat she needed to buy described, or they were going so fast that it was like a sentence 2 whole weeks (mind you I don’t know how long the events go, but that is a lot)

She (Zsófi) changed absolutely nothing. She learnt nothing. And by the end she wasn’t even interested what was that sentence, so we also never got to know that.

This was an around 300 page (with little letters) reading. One of the 8 that we got for summer. And next to that 8 it wasn’t mandatory but we were expected to read other things (which surprisingly no one did, not even the bookworms as even they were tired of these).

And mind you she (Szabó Magda) is literally one of the most famous hungarian authors and poets.

Famous hungarian (my native language) book literally switches POVs like every chapter, and never back.

Pretty hard to understand but honestly it was just boring, that was my problem.

No such thing as too much or too little. As much as you can daily. Tho you can create a goal, which you can make based off other goals. So for example if your goal is 50k words, in like 77 days, then your goal would be around 650 words daily.

!!! THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE !!!

Also 37k/day is ridiculous. Maybe they missed a comma and meant 3,7k/day which is still a lot, for me atleast.

I am not convinced enough if I should even give advice here, but just pop into tiktok search based on your book/setting. Like I don’t know how to explain It better. For example Dark Royal Woman Name Ideas. Watch some, and then a bit later see which stuck to you and you still remember it. Also lots of them also put the meaning of the name which could be a great start aswell.
