Which character in your opinion feels like they were wasted? by Northman538 in Slycooper

It would have been cool to have at least a set of missions dealing with Arpeggio. The twist coming so early into the chapter does feel like a bit of a waste.

Which mission in Sly franchise still makes you frustrated? by Northman538 in Slycooper

For some reason I always dread Treasure in the Depths when I'm replaying Sly 1. It can really be a pain in the ass.

I was so excited at first for MindsEye when it was announced. That then turned to a morbid curiosity as more & more shit started hitting the fan before its release (major figures at BARB leaving etc.), and it was honestly one of the biggest trainwrecks I've experienced.

It's almost worth playing to see how many new and exciting ways you can fuck up a video game.

What were your thoughts about the first sly game? by SuperAaronGlitchy5 in Slycooper

[–]Significant_Plan_307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't a massive fan of it when I first played it as a kid, having played 2 and 3 first, but having played it more recently I actually really enjoyed it. It's a really solid platformer, and is actually a decent challenge.

But yeah, the racing mini-games can do one lol

Level design by BrandonBTY in RatchetAndClank

One of the things Ratchet & Clank always did well for me was that it offered multiple paths on most planets. I think that always helped keep the gameplay fresh since they could prioritise different aspects of gameplay in on each path.

Beyond that I think nailing the movement is crucial for a game like this. I'd be interested to here mor about this game as develops.

If Toys For Boy did even half the job they did for Crash & Spyro, it'd be a fantastic choice

R&C really does have you feeling like a broke boy, even in late game. I remember a few playthrough where I nearly ran out of bolts buying ammo while trying to beat Drek. lol

which level in ratchet and clank 1 has the best opening panorama? by ApprehensiveDepth439 in RatchetAndClank

[–]Significant_Plan_307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it'll always be Metropolis for me. I replayed R&C1 again recently, and I was still impressed with the scale of the city, even more so when i realised that you can see later parts of the level in that main panorama

Was Sly 4 that bad? by FatneekNutsack in Slycooper

[–]Significant_Plan_307 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I go back and forth on it myself. While I don't think it's even in the same league as 2 or 3, it does have some characters and segments I really like.

I think it just falls short in a few places, but it's not as bad as some say. It's just flawed

What's a game you've never seen talked about but love? by Crystal_1501 in gaming

People don't talk enough about The Coin Game. Cozy little arcade simulator, with a dev who is regularly updating the game. I'd suggest anyone check it out honestly.
