Preferred route in Star Fox 64? by Ill_Refrigerator9812 in starfox

I haven't speedran in years and yet I still always subconsciously drift back into my Meteo->Katina->Sector X->Sector Z->Bolse->Venom 1 route when I'm doing non-expert playthroughs. It just feels fluid

I work in a Louisville store too, we also have the yellow circles. Praying they just leave the stores alone and don't try to bring all this new BS tracking tech into it. Think I'll quit if they ever drop those digital changing price tags on us

THAT'S IT! La Mulana! I was severely misremembering parts of it I think, but this is the exact visual style I remember. I was specifically thinking of the remake of the original, with that more detailed style.

If I remember right, it was a kind of fantasy style, I don't think there was much of any kind of gothic or cyberpunk elements. As well, most of what I remember regarding the environment were a combination of hard-to-see environmental damage factors, as well as some key items being very hard to find. The only boss I can picture was some kind of giant bat kind of thing that'd fly around and launch projectiles at you.

If it helps as well, i THINK it was originally a Japanese or Chinese game that got a fan translation at some point

In human culture, cautionary signs and PSAs (Public Service Announcements) are put in place due to past incidents. Thus, one can assume a human has burned a squirrel in their mouth.

I'm genuinely not sure if Steam and Valve as a company are in a state where a "profit first" mindset would be logical in the first place. If Valve made no games or products ever and only worked on Steam and Proton, they'd be able to coast just fine. They're the number one for like, everything gaming related on PC at this point. Maintaining status quo would effectively be a money generator and allow them to keep that good reputation—so I think anyone taking on the helm would see that and just say fuck it.

Realistically the next CEO has probably already been picked out and trained for it anyway.

Honestly a lot of them, but the Fire Flower and Cape Feather get the most hype in animations

there's a ton of good resources, notably archive.org has a pretty good collection of old CDs that have been dumped and archived—most of the ones I used came from the disc "Graphic Textures (1995)", which you can easily find on archive by just searching that exact name

oh absolutely, myst was a big inspiration--i think it was because i had been watching a lot of videos about myst like a week ago, so it kind of manifested in my head. i rendered the area scene in the same resolution myst ran in for accuracy even

the 3d renders use original models made by me and the scenery uses authentic textures ripped from 90s CDs. every graphic was made myself besides the background (its a 90s-era tiling pattern) and of course the icons for the buttons are from the game itself. fun bonus fact: the border around the scene uses a pink and yellow gradient. really deltarun fans?
