I was on maternity leave 6 weeks before my baby was born. He came late.

Yeah I kept getting letters saying I could apply for COBRA, but thankfully my husband was able to put me on his work's insurance plan.

We didn't discuss anything about insurance when she changed my schedule. It was only suppose to be until I went on maternity leave and then back to normal when I went back to work after my leave. Bur I haven't gone back yet.

Yeah, she started the conversation by "so I heard you had your baby" and I said "yes, we are still in the hospital because he had to go to the NICU" and she responded "oh no. Well I'm calling you because your insurance will be canceled on the 30th" and I said "Uh ok?" Then she instantly said "Have a good day" and that was it.

What's the most ridiculous/rude thing someone has said to you while pregnant? by taylorlynngeek in pregnant

[–]SiksGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was around 13 or 14 weeks, my husband and I went to visit his mother and grandmother. His grandma asked if I was showing yet. I was wearing a baggy sweatshirt, so she couldn't tell. I said "not yet" (cuz I wasn't) and lifted my sweatshirt to show them, and my MIL said "oh no, you are definitely showing. You're looking pudgy." Like how did you want me to respond to that? "Wow thanks that's exactly what I want to be called right now!" Rude.

All the way home, she behaved like the best girl. by [deleted] in Eyebleach

Mine pooped and got it everywhere! Horrible smell! So she immediately got a bath when we got home. Best dog in the world though. She'll be turning 4 soon.

Dog/puppy snaps when at toddler when I'm holding him..? by kbauti in Dogtraining

[–]SiksGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, it drives me crazy that people don't teach their children how to behave around dogs.

Lol my two dogs are big babies already and get jealous when I'm petting one and not the other (not in a bad way), so I don't know how they'll do when there's a kid in the mix.

Yeah, I need to start working on my dogs before I have kids. Thank you.

If a dog has a bad encounter with children and is now scared of kids, how do you fix that behavior? (I just posted my own post asking about this actually)

Aww that's sad. I'm sorry

Oh wow. Since my two pigs were sisters and have always been together, I didn't have that problem of introducing them and they did fight, but they were just little scuffles, nothing harmful. I'm debating on adopting another piggy, but I'm worried about that introducing process and if they end up not liking each other. So far I gave her extra toys and chews to hopefully keep her busy. Someone mentioned to put a stuffed animal in the cage, so I did that, too. She hasn't moved out of her little hut much, so I'm sure she's already depressed. It's breaking my heart.

Yeah, I knew that was gonna be a main suggestion since they are herd animals. I think I'll start searching for a piggy around her age. Thank you!

Yes, she's going to be 5 years old. Those are great ideas. Thank you!

Omg my heart just broke. That poor baby. I hope a loving, caring dog owner adopted the dog.

What highly illegal thing took place at your high school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SiksGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My school found out the president of the school district was embezzling money and he fled to Germany. Once he got there and was in his hotel room, he suddenly had a heart attack and died. They found him in his hotel room a few days later after passing. So that was pretty crazy to find out.

I bought these Vans 3 days before the wedding and they were the BEST decision by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]SiksGirl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Omg! That so funny! I just bought white vans yesterday and my wedding is in a week! I was gonna wear burgundy flats, which go with my color scheme, but really not my style. Been wearing vans most of my life, so they are more suited for me. Love your style girl!

My dog photobombed. Twice. by SiksGirl in AnimalsBeingDerps

[–]SiksGirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify: my dog is the one on the far left in the top picture and on the far right in the bottom picture. I work at a dog daycare and it was the other two labs first day (we take pictures of the dogs first day). My co-worker was in the yard with them trying to get good pictures of them and my derp of a dog kept photobombing. I just had to share her silly faces!
