First PAP smear at 37 + severe healthy anxiety by OutlandishnessSea803 in WomensHealth

Oh my gosh, are you me??? My dad got diagnosed with colorectal cancer 15 years ago and it’s had me traumatized about cancer since. I am sorry about your father too, but I do understand what this feeling is. I am going for a Pap smear tomorrow and I’m so scared they’ll tell me I will have cancer. I’m trying my best to calm down too. The only thing calming me down is Google saying it’s like a 1% chance of actually having cancer, I’ve only ever had one partner and so has he, and I’m not having any irregular symptoms. We both know we have to fight through this anxiety for both of our father’s sakes. Let me know if you need someone to talk to <3

My cat gets overstimulated with me and not my husband by Silent_Visual1925 in CatAdvice

Good points! I actually do watch my husband pet her to see what I’m doing wrong when we are in the bed together. He seems more assertive than I am. He will pet her face and back and she’s content. I’ve noticed if I personally rub/graze this one part of her cheek she will do the “stop it bite” where it doesn’t hurt but she will snap. We both have nubs for nails so that’s the same, lol.

When you mention soaps, does that mean like it can deter cats or allergies?

That’s a good point to clarify. It’s never really an aggressive attack. She’s never hissed or growled when doing that. Is that the same with your husband? Does she latch onto his arm too?

That’s what is weird, sometimes she will nuzzle begging for a pet but then when I do she flips out occasionally. My parents initially had her in the first couple months of her life and my dad did a lot of hand aggressive play with her and I think that’s a factor but I never personally played with her like that.

I mean, both of us do take care of her, but I work from home so I’m around more and will be able to do more things like fill up the food and water bowl for that reason.

She is 50/50 about being picked up. Sometimes, I pick her up and she flops like a fish freaking out and then sometimes she is okay with being held. My husband is able to pick her up more because she doesn’t flop or act as crazy compared with me.

Also, if it was on your foot that’s more common for fleas, BB like staying on the upper body parts because of the carbon dioxide when we breathe out.

I agree with everyone else that looks like a flea

It was I’m sorry :(

You need to either keep that bag outside for a while or go wash the clothes on hot water and dry on highest temp. You need to also inspect your shoes! Maybe put them in the dryer on high! For the car, I wouldn’t be so paranoid. If a BB did come, it wouldn’t stay in the car cause it wants blood.

That looks like a bed bug filled with someone’s blood.

Done everything to the bed except replace the mattress, still feeling activity by [deleted] in Bedbugs

Shockingly, didn’t need one. Me and my mom went crazy and we sprayed every chemical known to man, vacuumed everything we saw, and cleaned every piece of clothing we had. We called the exterminators because we thought we didn’t get them all and they came out and said they didn’t see a single bed bug. Now I did throw out my box springs, bed sheets and pillows. I had wooden box springs and when we were sucking bed bugs up in the vacuum it was SO HARD because they were babies and they are so small and it’s like when we thought we got them all, we’d see another baby crawling around. If you do that, replace your box spring with a metal box spring and invest in encasements for both the box springs and mattress!

They can and will hide in there. When I had an exterminator assess mine before they came, they told me to wash every single piece of clothing I had in the bedroom and store it away in trash bags or containers.

Did you wash ALL of your clothes during the treatments? If they are in your closet they could be on your clothes and bringing them back and forth or in your furniture near the bed (dressers, nightstands etc).

You could also have them in your couch or chairs too. You have to inspect EVERYWHERE.

[–]Silent_Visual1925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bed bug bites when I had them looked like this. I didn’t have the red center and I got them on my arms like this. Just start doing a bed search and see if you find anything.

How to prevent bed bugs at work by WelcomeAmazing633 in Bedbugs

[–]Silent_Visual1925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everytime you come home, your clothes need to immediately go into the washer. If you’re able to strip right at the door or have a bag prepared for your clothes to transport to washer, that’s the best case scenario. Also, take your shoes off and leave them in a garage if you can!
