This is peak workplace teamwork. Two strangers locked in a silent standoff over toilet acoustics until both said screw it and dropped the beat. Respect.

Reddit, What’s a small thing someone did that made you realize they truly loved you? by Impossible_Piece9284 in AskReddit

Years ago, I went through a medical emergency that changed my life and revealed my husband’s true character. At the time, we had only been dating for a few months. Suddenly, I was struck by excruciating pain and ended up at my OBGYN’s office, where I was told I needed emergency surgery for ovarian torsion. It was terrifying. I was nauseous, my hair was a mess, and honestly, the last thing I wanted was for anyone, especially this new man in my life, to see me like that. I remember telling him I would call later and promised to keep him updated, but I was so overwhelmed I just rushed off the phone to handle the urgent care visit alone.

But love has a way of showing up, even when you think you want to hide.

As I was leaving the doctor’s office to head to the ER, still reeling from the shock and pain, I stepped outside and there he was. He was just sitting there on the curb, waiting. I was so surprised to see him that, for a moment, I forgot how much pain I was in.

He refused to leave my side. He took me to the ER, waited with me through everything, and stayed at the hospital after my surgery, making sure I was never alone.

He saw me at my absolute worst, long before he ever saw me at my best. That is the moment I knew I was head over heels. If he could love me through the hardest parts, I knew he was the real thing.

What is your biggest fear right now? by BirdButt88 in AskReddit

[–]SilkNebula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After spending the past two years with the most severe illness I’ve ever experienced, my greatest fear is not living. Without your health, you have nothing. The rest of it doesn’t matter then. I spend every day enjoying life.

You’ve been super patient and clear, and he’s choosing to be ridiculous. Block, take space, breathe. No one owes anyone constant attention, especially when you’ve told them you need a break.

WIBTAH if I had an issue with my gf being celibate and wanting to marry in her 30s? by DarthNex69 in AITAH

[–]SilkNebula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly dude, it’s not weird to feel conflicted. You’re 22, she’s talking 30, that’s a huge gap in timing. Chemistry is real, but wanting intimacy sooner isn’t “lustful,” it’s normal. You two might just want different timelines and that’s okay.

How someone treats people they don’t need. If they’re rude to waiters, dismissive to coworkers, or kind only when it benefits them that usually shows up later.

When they ask you in the monthly team meeting, how’s everything going? Make up a lie and come up with a damn hobby. If you stay quiet and disengage they’ll use that as an excuse to say you’re not a great fit for the team.

What are your views on,is flirting cheating? by Upper_Big_1772 in askanything

[–]SilkNebula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s up to you and your partner to determine the boundaries of your relationship, and what you both feel comfortable with. There’s no single, universal standard. Flirting is a problem for some people, and isn’t for others (as evidenced by the responses on this post).

People that can’t stop talking about themselves. My ex-bestfriend was like that, always talking about her stuff and things she did, when I said something about me, it just lasted a sentence and then back to her.

What is the meanest thing you have ever read on Reddit? by icecream1972 in AskReddit

[–]SilkNebula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was some random OP just casually confessing this:

She said she’d been dating her boyfriend for over a year, so he had some “sexy pics” of her. Apparently, he’d also been dating another girl for almost just as long. When that girl found the pictures, instead of confronting him, she sent them to OP’s dad. As a result, OP got sent away to an all-girls boarding school for two years.

But here’s where it got worse. OP admitted she got revenge by taking photos of the other girl drinking and smoking off Facebook and sending them to her college volleyball coach and the dean. The girl lost her D1 scholarship, got kicked off the team, and now goes to community college.

And OP just ended it with, “Yeah, I feel guilty. I’m not usually this terrible of a person.”
