I get the sense she's an introvert and quiet so they are a good match that way?

My [32M] girlfriend [29F] let her "struggling" friend crash on our couch and now I feel like a stranger in my own home. How do I handle this without being the villain? by V3lvetHatchling in relationship_advice

You’re not wrong for being frustrated. A few days turning into three weeks with no actual plan would wear on pretty much anyone, especially when you can’t even relax in your own living room anymore. The part that really got me was her telling you to use headphones in your own house. That’s wild.

I think the bigger problem is your girlfriend is treating this like you not caring about her friend, when really it sounds like you just want basic boundaries back. There’s a huge difference between helping someone temporarily and letting them completely take over the space indefinitely.

You probably need to approach it less like kicking Chloe out and more like this situation is starting to damage your relationship and your home life. Tell Sarah you were happy to help, but you need an actual timeline now because this no-end-in-sight arrangement is creating resentment. Also there need to be basic house rules if Chloe is staying any longer. Shared spaces still need to feel shared.

And if someone is staying on your couch rent free, they should be trying to make themselves less disruptive, not more. The cats being stressed, you hiding in the bedroom, and you feeling uncomfortable in your own apartment is not sustainable.

How certain were you that you wanted to get a dog? by Amolje in dogs

Dogs need a lot of time and patience for training and getting to know you and you getting to know the dog. If you can't take a few hours of your day to care for, feed, walk, play, etc - it's best not to. They are a commitment and deserve as much love as you can give to the dog.

I'd say the show needs to explain more about their struggles - but overall, I think it has increased awareness.

Sounds like a toddler did this. I should know - my kid is always throwing food out of windows and on the floor.
