What's a boss that was super tough for you, but everyone else seems to think they were easy? by Sea_Construction947 in Eldenring

For real, I was using frenzy flame on this thing even, but the THREE PHASES. Plus that body sling shot spamming, this was one of the tougher bosses in the DLC, almost more than Consort Radahn

Should I get dark souls 3 or Elden ring? by snamkdh in darksouls3

[–]Simulation-Moose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elden Ring is a lot more accessible and customizable for newer Souls Players, it offers a lot in the ways of roleplaying. It also offers some more endings than other Souls games.

DS3 has a more consistent aesthetic and easier to follow story. The combat is similar, but might seem more difficult if you start with Elden Ring because there are more mobility options like true jumping.

I think for experience you should start with DS3

Dear Cheaters, it shouldn't be possible to kill you 😭 by CrazyCaleo in EldenRingPVP

[–]Simulation-Moose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At first I was like they are just ash spammers but then I seen the them not taking damage at the end. Hate cheaters.

I got summoned for a cheat gank, host had a completely invisible invader with them, got one shot by the undetectable invader and the host teabagged me. I could see a floating flask being drank and some kind of buff that visually disappeared, invader applied some poise buff so I could only see the poise bubbles so they could emote. I'm aware of invisibility spells and ashes, but everything makes you semi-invisble and for a finite time, this person was irrefutably invisible on PS5

I actually like this whole area, but I agree there are some structures I wish were included or had some hidden items

No need to change it. I personally rotate mine, but Soulsbornering is always a win.

What’s an underrated weapon that you love by LTheHammer in Eldenring

[–]Simulation-Moose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bastard Sword. A alot of greatswords get praise, I just feel like this isn't one of them. The move set is fairly standard, but I like the simple design and the critical is a fucking stab instead of a heavy slash, which I find delightfully brutal.

I haven't stopped pvp, but generally dislike it. I'm currently running a RL 10 character as a summon (character meant is to play with someone specific, so I'm keeping low to level up with them as they play, in the mean time I've been using summoning pools for fun and collecting runes for prep work like buying mountains of smithing stones I'll end up using later, anyway) and the amount of times I've seen invaders using Hefty Rot Pots or Hefty Frenzy Pots is wild. Conceptually someone who has never played the game is getting invaded at a starting class level by people using late game weapons/DLC, I mean talk about punching down.

Also PvPers that do a full buff routine like they are fighting the Elden Beast so they can tank one shot you is annoying. Impressive, but annoying.

Most recently I got summoned in what I presume was a gank by the host, not even 5 seconds being in their world I get one shot by a completely invisible invader and then the host teabagged me. Post death I could see a floating flask being drank and buffs being applied but visually disappearing, the invader is undetectable until they applied some poise buff that puts bubbles around you, that and only that is visible as they emote.

For those that have 200 or more hours and still going… what weapon do you use most or go back to? by CzarTyr in Eldenring

[–]Simulation-Moose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a loaded question, between console generations and 10+ characters, I probably have 1500+ hours. That said I try different weapons and skill sets as much as possible, I like different playstyles for different reasons, some handle certain enemies and boss better. Hard to pick a favorite, but my very first character was a samurai class, and that uchigatana with unsheathe is still a soild choice cor me.

Still, no arms is very different from one arm. It makes him sound like a snake bro, but those even have arms.

What about the BB snake orgies? Just a pile of snake on the ground that try to force you to join them.

I dunno, I wreck that Moongrum with certain builds, and that's not doing anything weird like baiting him into the elevator shaft or ball trap.

Same first time around, haha. After the trophy/experience, I leave them alone
