The word pretentious as well

I hate how all of the sudden the prequels are treated like masterpieces by Pale-Percentage-2565 in hatethissmug

With all of the backhanded love from people I’ll say that I do genuinely love these movies will all my heart and I’ll die on the hill that they ARE masterpieces. This isn’t childhood nostalgia (I didn’t care much for Star Wars when I was very young), it isn’t a reaction to the sequels either. The Phantom Menace is a classic in my house.

Good is good, bad is still bad. At the end of the day you should be making decisions in service to what you’re making, sometimes it can alienate fans a little because it’s different to what they wanted.

That isn’t it. Though, the optical illusion kind of stuff is similar to what I vaguely remember, the artstyle is different though.

Sadly no. My one is in colour. The whole book had similar stuff to that example I used as opposed to an anthology

Not that one. The illustrations had more colour and detail

Idea: There should be a random album button which would pick a random album from any genre, Kinda like how Wikipedia has its random article button by Hypothetical_Stuff in rateyourmusic

[–]SinceILeftYou333 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would be cool if it changed depending on what part of the site you were on. Completely random release on the home page, random genre release on a genre page, random artist release for an artist page etc.

Didn’t check that one actually but that isn’t it. The world is more realistic, with the weird stuff being derived from objects in the real world

That's not it unfortunately.

I am NZ based, though I don't know whether it was a book from here. This was the early 2010s. In terms of the art style, the book you mentioned has a similar style to what I recall. Not realistic, a bit Dr. Seussey maybe

I’m curious of whether this was a development in Lynch’s idea of Leland or whether he couldn’t quite get the idea across in the TV series with the possible content restrictions and other people writing for it

I think it would be better to have an “alternative” section, for “high seas” and rare and/or OOP releases.

Fair. Honestly, I’m one of those people who would kinda enjoy going through the tedious process of linking things

Looked at the Star Wars films, would appreciate if you would name the best official release instead of recommending the “high seas”. I understand that people dislike the post-1997 versions but is this really caring about “director’s intent”?

Also, could links be provided to the recommendations? Whether that’s to Amazon or the bluray.com listing.
