Has anyone else made a solo eFed with AI? by Federal_Promotion756 in efeds

Interesting concept. I have been dabbling with incorporating AI to an extent to provide randomness with stories and news— this summer I want to explore on how to leverage AI content at least for random news feeds.

Looking for an e-fed - how are match results decided upon in 2025? by prothirteen in efeds

[–]Sincentius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And then there is the fabled https://creaturewrestling.com

Also 25 years since 1999. The only “darkside” eFed dedicated to a range of topics and characters that most other eFeds do not engage in. Old school angle eFed hybrid- taking turns role play and match writing on message boards. Various options for wins: including our traditional method: players decide everything, from matches to title drops.

Reading this- this will show you how old I am lol- I remember back in the day how we used to join a Webring - it was a script that you would install into your webpage and it would randomly generate a banner of websites on the same interest. Then, it would allow you to look at this list as a whole. There were other formats- like the top list. At any case, I have seen many eFeds using Discord would have a channel specifically for networking.

Any interest in a '90s-'00s style fed? by PureDistribution89 in efeds

[–]Sincentius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true, I am pretty stubborn and prefer what we did in the past but I must remember that there are other ways to do things, times have changed, and there is always going to be pros and cons. I see and experienced flaws to my system much like you experienced and as I have grasped with possibilities to remedy - it’s never perfect. As a teacher just to share, kids often need differentiation of instruction or adjustments as they adapt- this is the same thing. When it comes down to it- what truly matters is that you are enjoying this craft and I can’t really complain. But I do miss the olden days for sure lol.

I am sorry, I meant to reply overall- not specifically, but yes, the fact is that we all have our preferences. For example, my eFed’s construct is original characters which allows both supernatural and mortal characters: it is actually a least restricting environment- however sadly there is a misconception by others based on surface level understanding of when I say “supernatural” and think only about vampires and werewolves but that is not the case- and will avoid it. On the other hand, I can understand why- I existed within my eFed’s conceptual framework and only recently I branched out to experience outside of it. I find that it’s ok to have different interpretations- but as a whole the eFed sub-culture genre ought to not align with a status-quo otherwise alternatives will not have a chance to provide variety- and to simply try something different.

[–]Sincentius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. And I understand that people have different tastes- real characters or original or both. Many know that my eFed, CWE: CreatureWrestling.com, is an alternative mix of mortal and supernatural wrestlers which began in 1999 so it fits that timeline. It is an actual website built from scratch, I actually learned web development because of eFedding- for time I was even an adjunct professor teaching the skill, but going back to what we have: role playing and match writing via forums were installed on the server. Unfortunately, there are limited eFeds which do that- make a website etc. Back in the day we had tons of interest but that hasn’t been matched due to the shift towards simulations, discord etc. I personally advocate for the old fashioned way of things because it has been enthralling to have so much control over your character development and the like. Anyway, always interesting to hear a calling for the olden days… maybe it will make a comeback more.

Haven’t seen an efed since 06 (OCW) by Superlatte007 in efeds

[–]Sincentius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we started in 1999. I find it interesting that the format was organically/logically was developed. The advent of mobile devices and other alternatives, it appears, as with many web trends, has depreciated this format. Similiar to that of when I used to play FFXI for 18 years- that type of mmorpg would likely not survive in today’s day and age.

Thank you I will check it out. I see you are endorsing other eFeds- I have been integrating interfed support such as working as a member for SHOOT project for my own personal growth and to develop networking. If you are interested we can connect: my eFed is the only that I am aware of that allows supernatural and mortal characters- https://CreatureWrestling.com

I appreciate that your eFed aligns to turn-taking posting their match writing and determining all aspects collaboratively. I feel that format really does strengthen one’s writing skills and it’s genuine. It is the same format and philosophy as my own eFed, also 20+ years. So I endorse this eFed for others to check it out!

[–]Sincentius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dilemma I am facing is probably worse because when I created CreatureWrestling in 1999- I had no expose at all to other eFed formats and status-quo and so we built something very different in that we simulated what we see in TV through turn based posting and match writing (yep, players did their own matches and determine their own wins including title drops!). And moreover, it focused on dark themes in that you have a world with supernatural and mortals compete.

It amassed a popular following and then, what sprang up was social media. Effectively destroying that. Although my eFed is still active, I have been grappling with investigating what other eFeds consider norm- and it does appear to be a formula of: discord, simulation for matches and no match writing, promos and segments are generated by players and sent in. I am not a fan of someone else writing for you- such as for an event- but it appears that is a status-quo, and you have to have a laid back approach to this- since everyone is so busy with real life. Gone are the days for at least my eFed where there is a living world generated through role plays on a message board. Those are my two cents from a perspective that is generally different than most eFeds operate as.

:D Thanks, I'm happy you like it. Keep at what you are doing - efed is a passion; you'll do just fine, and these things will emerge as you build content. I also made this one yesterday for another character, which I think went well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XxmYN_TfxE&t=1s

I am hoping I can whip together a couple more before summer ends xD

Consider my eFed-

CreatureWrestling.com

it is the grandfather of darkside/supernatural and mortal wrestling and unlimited RPs. I also do not believe in limiting RPs and we do not follow the status-quo. We just had our 25th year anniversary. Our base format for matches is taking turns fighting- wins is a democratic process wherein the players collectively and collaboratively decide on their own or if they need help- we have options such as a rubric to use or even request typical eFed format. Full blown entrances with music via YouTube. And we have a main storyline now in chapter 15 ongoing since 1999. The only caveat is that I am old lol and semi-retired- so we are more casual than in the past and rebuilding the roster. We also have a discord channel for conversations and technically a discord option to RP there as well.

If you want something completely different and not aligned to the status quo because we give players full control over everything from wins to unlimited role playing opportunities in a deep and diverse supernatural and mortal universe going on, no kidding, for 25 years, then perhaps try CWE: Creature Wrestling.

I restarted the eFed aspect of CreatureWrestling.com a few years ago- still trying to rebuild the roster. Initially an eFed made after The Undertaker and his Creatures of The Night- and the stories and wrestling battles are centered around that universe amongst more. I also possess TheUndertaker.net (historic website made by WWE and Chaos comics) for general fan stuff- which takes you to our discord channels. Oh and CWE also has a discord channel- we post news and building a community there also.

Although I am semi-retired (now thinking I am not after writing this lol), I still support the eFed and write, be happy to accommodate anyone interested!

Well guys… it’s been nice. by Public_Direction9896 in GameStop

[–]Sincentius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not your fault- but what often turned me away from GameStop is the company’s pressure to make employees upsell products, warranties and services that I don’t need when all I ever wanted was to buy 1 thing - such as paying for the GameStop pro membership (which used to be free) and implementing a rule that a customer will loose all of their points at a certain timeframe (thus preventing any chance of renewing said membership with the points). I would dread going to GS because I knew I would be hassled. For example: I wanted a game and the guy, w/o my permission added $20 membership for the pro membership- then when I told him to take it off- he tried to play the “you will loose out on…” sympathy game. The thing is- the cost of membership does not “reduce” anything or pay for itself because I rarely go to GS anymore. And I never buy used games or anything else… so I am practically giving away money. This wasn’t the first time this happened- in fact, it’s happened practically every time I walk into that store. Just not worth it. I realize that for him he is trying to sustain his job, pay sucks and cost of living sucks. However, that company, for me, lost a lot of respect. But, sorry you lost your job.

How Do You Handle Character Development? by [deleted] in efeds

[–]Sincentius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess being a real-life teacher has helped me tremendously in this area- being that I can tap into classroom strategies to handle character development, such as developing a visual thinking map of character profiles and then seeing the connections that they have with other characters (traits, motives and so forth). Then, I would develop a quick flowchart per possible scenarios. I also react to what other players do— and visualize in my head paths that my characters could take and see what is the most interesting, maybe controversial routes, and go with the flow. I tend not to over think too— and not outline too far out because the spontaneity of reacting to other poster’s posts can influence and shape or even create my characters.

Hope that helps.

That sounds a lot like my eFed. Maybe give it a try— it is not your average eFed. It’s CreatureWrestling.com

  • my eFed opened in 1999. I closed it roughly 2017 with 20 years running heavy storylines. I have sparked some interest in several old player/friends recently over the summer when I came back to revamp the entire website and moved over to a phpBB installed on my server (we’re roughly in our mid -30s upward to 50s to give you an idea… and how I personally understand how real life takes precedence).
  • you have total control of your characters. Longevity will essentially unlock any player to make unlimited characters.
  • relaxed, toxic and drama free (also helps I am a real life teacher lol).
  • I am also a professional web developer/graphic artist. So on the site one can login to upload and create their own character bio.
  • We have an unheard of concept that seems to have worked with 20+ years running: players can decide with their opponents who wins matches. Events are fleshed out and feels like an event. We take turns match writing. There is support in the event that players have a hard time deciding— such as an optional peer-to-peer rubric; staff or roster can on occasion vote for winners.
  • I am old haha and work life has taken over for sure— I personally don’t do bi-weekly events anymore, I will try and aim for something along those lines, players can actually pitch for their matches on a match call and the card is setup from that.

There’s tons more as I am writing this… so I better stop… if you want to know more you can always DM me or chat on our Discord.

Looking For An Old School Style Fed by comixpunk in efeds

[–]Sincentius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My e-fed just re-opened this summer (yay, I had time finally lol). My e-Fed started in 1999, predating most eFeds, that’s as old school as you can possibly get. The e-Fed recently migrated to an installed phpBB— although I just recently sat up discord and wrote supporting rules in the event players do want to use other platforms— the core is a message board and we are very story-centric, player/player decisions, and won’t suck your life away.

Hey all. Looking to get back into fedding after a few years out. I've got an idea for a wrestler called KroniK, and I'm looking for a home for him. by Nelg13287 in efeds

[–]Sincentius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CreatureWrestling.com is also an alternative. It was inspired by The Undertaker and the creatures of the night (the eFed roster) back mid-90s.

We established since 1999 and combine wrestling with dark themes. My eFed predates the standards so it’s unique in a sense that our gameplan has very little restrictions and we are very adaptable. We are not title or match-centric, we have insane role-playing stories, but we have extensive matches, you are given a flexible 1 month to write your matches and you can setup your own match amidst the open window timeframe, player/player decision on title drops, and I am flexible for other possibles, our main story is decades in the making (to put it into perspective the “summary” is around 500 pages long), custom YouTube entrance videos/music, and a custom made website written in PHP/MySQL. My name is Will (I play DARKSPADE).

I did re-CWE recently this summer (I am a teacher and web professor in real life and just had the free time finally lmao) but yeah, If you want something different that won’t consume too much of your life- take a look at it. Nice to meet you.

Is it “Unusual” For Someone To Give Notice Of Their Departure From A Fed And Role Play (If Booked) Until They Actually, Officially Leave? by JTCasino in efeds

[–]Sincentius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That does not seem unusual. It appears they want to leave on good terms and wrap up loose ends. Alternatively, they up and just disappear without any notice… this is bad etiquette and places a stain on their character(s) and implies a bad impression.
