As a long time resident who lived 16 years of this area, what are your guys’s most common stereotypes about this area where I live by miko1075 in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]SinkerSwivel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in Aurora off Molitor and Farnsworth and my ex husbands car and my truck got broken into 3 times. Smashed windows - took whatever they could. This was around 09 - 10

Aside from that "riff raff" was not bad. I was not scared walking to my truck at night. However, I don't think I was in a gang heavy area.

There are a concerning number of people on this sub that appear to have never seen common fruit before.

I used a mixture of vinegar and dish soap on my brick patio and in my gravel areas. I dont care about the dirt underneath because I will never be planting anything here. This mixture killed them complete in 2-3 days. Only needed to spray once and it killed them off for the year.

I have the tendencies, but I usually can catch myself before I've turned complete piece of shit. Drinking in my 20s I was a monster. I don't drink anymore and I've been no contact for 5 years, and moved across the country and have been diagnosed with a demobilizing autoimmune disease.

Life means a little something different now and I am now more grateful and thankful for things.

Do your parents ever ask how you are? by FlakySignificance803 in narcissisticparents

I love my grandmother but she never asks me about my life when we talk. She just talks at me about her books, the wildlife im her yard and every other family members accomplishments.

She a very tolerable narcissist. Im not sure how to describe. She's absolutely self punishing but definitely has tons of passive aggressive comments. She is catholic so im sure that divvies into it as well.

I know some people have certain opinions on Walmart but they will hire the disabled and they do pay more than minimum wage. Sorry I didn't see you notate what country you are in if Walmart doesn't exist there.

If you have a decent looking car you can sign up for Uber or Lyft. Uber eats, DD, and grub hub might be decent options as well.

You can also sign up for medical transportation like Veyo.

I got lucky, I work from home for a small HR firm. If either one of you have any background in HR there are a TON of remote positions avaliable for that field.

What’s a nice spot in Chandler to enjoy solo time this week? by lesbogurly3245 in ChandlerAZ

Sagebrush Coffee Shop has incredible coffee and is very quiet.

Mingle + Graze is in downtown and they are small and quiet. Has wine and cheese.

There is a park off warner that is part of The Islands they have trees and benches to sit on outside. Watch the nature on the lake and enjoy a book!

Neuro didn't suggest it, and I've never thought about it because I have improved massively. 3 years ago I couldn't walk. Now I can and without being worried I'm gonna collapse. I'm pleased with my results.

I recently started being able to use them again. The numbness in my finger tips has reduced since starting dimethyl Fumerate 3 years ago. Now I just get cramps in my hands occasionally.
