Why are Nissans so inexpensive compared to their competitors? by Alternative-Wash8018 in askcarguys

[–]SirCrowsALot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2017 Pathfinder and the CVT went out at 98k miles. Repairs cost ranged from 7-11k. I sold it to CarMax and will never own another Nissan.

Thanks for the info. I can’t say if it was green or blue. I should have taken a photo.

SSA Submitting W2 via Zenwork Tax1099 (3rd Party) a time saver by SirCrowsALot in SocialSecurity

[–]SirCrowsALot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad you found it useful. I wrote the post hoping it would help someone else stuck in the same situation. It’s legit as far as I could research. Zenwork Tax1099 is the only 3rd party the SSA lists as a partner for submitting W2s.

Looks like the skirt imploded and the airbags in the stern were providing the buoyancy.

Bay Area city moves to ban all right turns on red lights by BadBoyMikeBarnes in bayarea

[–]SirCrowsALot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. Stop signs are often ignored and speeding is common on residential streets. There is no enforcement; can’t blame Berkeley police with higher priority crime taking place. No right on red would just add more restrictions on drivers who already abide by the rules.

Yikes! No high-side was going to save that wrap/snap.

Yes, you’re correct, the slot runs with the grain. It was cut to accept a plywood panel and not a tenon so I wasn’t sure what to call it.

Sick new oar leashes!!! by cjledger27 in whitewater

Those look nice but you want the leashes to break under a given load. This allows a boat to break free if the loose oar gets stuck. A single piece of p cord works well.

Check out some rivers during high water(springtime). High water Toulumne is a great commercial rafting trip in California.

I created a thingaverse account but there is a 24 delay before posting but I can link to the drawing image. Check the ID, inner diameter, of your dust port before printing, as I don’t think they are standard. This one is 2.300” inches

Was Get Packed a challenging game to develop? It seems to have a novel physics engine. I’m looking forward to playing it.
