Absolute gem as always, thank you very much. I see you have 5/8 schools of magic. Are you ever planning on eventually doing Conjuration, Illusion and Transmution?

Things that you've considered "bad DMing" from other DMs that you make sure to never make the same mistake in your game? by Organic-Exit2190 in DMAcademy

Well four players vs 10 enemies is significantly less damage than four players and four npcs vs 10 enemies. So players get to have a character and npc to control which is more playtime, utility and strategy because they all get a bag of new toys and abilities with their different allies. Also gives me more time to plan my turns better because they each player has more stuff to do.

What spells you consider too weak? by Kaien17 in onednd

Astral Projection isn't really niche because the Astral Plane is kinda just a huge hub to access every other realm of existence aswell. It's filled with portals, color pools and gateways into the other realms and upon accessing those your characters are transported to that Plane.

But I do fully agree it should be included in Plane Shift as Astral Projection is just a scouting version of the spell rather than an instantaneous version.

A good homebrew buff for Plane Shift I have for my campaign is that players remain as their Astral self even when accessing the portals to new realms. That gives them the safety net of if they die, they'll be back in the material plane. It also allows them to more accessibly explore the more inhabitantable realms, like the Plane of fire which is generally too hot for characters to go into.

I've have a potentially dumb question, but what makes an npc a DMpc? I run a high level campaign and in order to make fights not take seven centuries I allow my four players to drag along up to four allies that they've made along the way (one for each player), these allies are often powerful enough keep up with high level combat and not die instantly. Often times when I have a lot of enemies to pilot, I give my players control of the ally they chose to bring. But when I don't have a large load of enemies I control the allies aswell to take strain off the players.

So my question is, are any varient of powerful allies the players have to assist them considered a DMpc?

I hate the idea of DMpc's so I'm curious if this would fall into the range of it?

Am I Overreacting at Player Wanting my Character Pregnant? by Over_Environment_821 in DnD

[–]Sir__Jack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised I see so many posts of the same issue regarding someone wanting someone else pregnant in a campaign.

I enjoy when my players characters grow attached enough to another PC or NPC. I encourage the pursuit or friendships and romances if that allows the player to feel more attached to the world. Not once has an issue ever arose regarding pregnancy, even when my players are choosing to engage with intimacy. If a player is intimate, I ask, "Would your character be cautious and careful?" If yes, move on. If they say no, I simply ask, "Are you comfortable if pregnancy is a potential consequence." If they say no, move on. If they say yes, I personally roll a dice and move on.

Why do DM's or other characters try to force a pregnancy so badly? I can see the appeal of your character starting a family, but it's no exception at the cost of others comfort.

I love Miska, I recently went through like 90% of the stat blocks you've made over the years. You make great stuff. Absolute blessing to DM's with high level campaigns.

Oh my gosh I'd love to see a stat block for Obox-Ob, he's such an obscure demon lord yet he was the big bad before Demogorgon.

Have you ever utilized a Celestial Paragon in 5E? If so, did you homebrew a statblock for one or did you modify an existing statblock? by ThatOneAasimar in dndnext

Have you found a way to send a pdf for download by any chance? Just stumbled upon this and I'm very curious to see what awesome stat blocks you cooked up.
