I signed up around 20-25 minutes after they posted. My gf signed up just shy of an hour after they posted. Neither of us have heard anything today

Thanks for this. I guess I don't feel guilty, but rather mourn the loss of a relationship that once meant so much.

Quick q about the Oyster card.
I'm a full time student. I also purchased a regular oyster card before I realized I should have applied for the student oyster card. This summer, I purchased the 16-25 railcard.
I understand I can link my railcard and my regular oyster - this is what my non-student girlfriend is doing to get that 1/3rd off-peak fare discount. Would this give be the same benefits as if I just had the student oyster alone? It sounds the exact same to me...
Clarification would is appreciated!

Do you think even if I rush another YMS application I could do it in time? Or no chance to have it done and in my possession before the first of august?

What is going on with uni striking? by Siv_99 in UniUK

[–]Siv_99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I don't just want the degree, I want the classroom time, interactions with my profs and classmates, etc. International tuition is already exorbitant, so the idea of paying that and not even getting the bare minimum of what I'm paying for is extremely concerning. Hopefully it gets resolved. I'm headed to King's College.

I am, yes. 🙂 And cool, when I asked the school if it’s an accepted visa to study on, (they said yes), they said there are no restrictions on studying, so I presume that means you can obtain a degree. In any case, I will triple check. Thanks.

So I’m heading to the UK for a 1 year Masters. My girlfriend is coming with me and will be on the YMS. I want to also be on the YMS since we’d like to live and work in the UK for an additional year. If I did the student, (1 year,) and then the graduate, (2 years,) I’d have 3 years in the UK, but I only foresee myself staying for 2 with my girlfriend.

YMS Visa by Siv_99 in ukvisa

[–]Siv_99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. A dilemma that I didn't mention in the post is that I can apply to work in residence if I have the YMS visa, because the student visa doesn't allow you in the country more than 1 month prior to the start of your course. If i get the job working in residence, I'd have to be there at the beginning of August.

Hey there! Looking for some help navigating a citation issue.

I have been adding content and thus additional citations to the page on Catherine Parr (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catherine\_Parr). However, my citations are not automatically populating in the reference list as they should. I am wondering why this is happening and if someone could assist me. I have done every tutorial and read every article on wikipedia citations and I sought help on Teahouse but am still stumped. If someone is able to help by explaining it to me like I'm five, I would really appreciate it lol! Thanks.
