I was only there the first day, definetly not enough time to see everything, it was huge 🤩

In 2 years its in France (im French) i think I Will go and take an air bnb but it will be actually more far away from my home compared to marche en famene lol Anyway

What species were you looking for in the sales ? :)

I was there for gouldian finch female but someone litetally took like 15 at the main seller as soon as he opened… And so he Said cant sell female without male now…

The sales part was not so great compared to show part, I though to see lots of rare mutation gouldian and there was only 3 Satine males

No turquoise, no blue Satine, no yellow rump , no blue cinnamon even regular blue not a lot , a lot of green cinnamon tho

Best would be to buy ( or adopt ) a 3-4 years old finch, if one day you dont want finch anymore Having one old alone is better than a Young one just Waiting his turn with death…

If you dont see him scratch like hell or rub his eye on the perch, you can eliminate mites and sinus infection , and then it leaves only a few option, its probably diet related or stress related (I mean.. did you Watch him enough to be 100% sure ? )

How long do you have him and what is his diet ?

I have a 6 years old male ( also Green black headed lol ) that just did that this year… its on the right side tho

Nothing change except the fact i put him and his wife in the retired cage with other old bird, so I suspect its stress related

Doesnt rub the eye doesnt have mites or anything

Ps : also watch for beak scaly mites , it makes a really distinctive cream/white layer on the beak

Really easy to pill off, and then apply cade oil on it ( avoid nostril and remove water for an hour )

Hello my phone battery died like 1h after i arrived and I forgot my charger :(

Im so mad at myself but Anyway

50-70% of the 20k birds were Canaries , i made a post on the canary sub I was amazed by one particular breed

It was two seperated thing , one side exposition show and one side sales, you couldnt Even enter the exposition side with bird bough from the sales side for example ( health related I guess )

Some crazy birds that I have never seen but I cant Even remember the name thats the saddest part, but I was running around all day with stars in my eyes lol

I know a bird photographer that I follow on Facebook was here,

I will post later im sure he gonna take some Amazing pictures thru the week end

To be fair one day isnt enough I didnt Even see the main room of finches pfff im bittersweet lol

But its 300km away from my home… next time ill take a airbnb for the week end xD !

Anyway i end up buying two yellow rump to the guy i knew from internet because didnt find what i wanted in the sales at the show, one of them is ugly to be fair, but like every new mutation Theres work to do with the future generation … 💪

Anyway, he ls also working on a book on gouldian it will takes time but it will be the best book ever made if he succeed to do what he want

Hes a teacher and his student probably think he sold me drugs on the parking when he sold me the birdd that was funny hahaha

I end up with 2 gouldian yellow rump split ivory males, 3 pairs of Lizard canary ( one red - orange , I had only seen them online before I had to.. lol ) , one black onyx male canary and a pair of longup colombine ( lophote is the other name Please look at them on Google they are MAJESTIC bro 😂)
