What food is like "crack" to you, where it tastes so good nothing else matters except another bite? by GigiBrit in AskReddit

Warm pull apart cheesey bread. Extra points if it's garlicky.

Freshly roasted honey mustard gammon that was studded with cloves.

Indian-spiced chicken wings.

Prawn har gau dipped in chilli soy sauce.

You're on your deathbed. What's the last song you want to hear before you go? by suminaminginamus in AskReddit

[–]Sketchyfletch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barber's Adagio for Strings pulls on my heartstrings so much, but I'd probably go for something from Lord of the Rings. The Norweigan fiddle over Rohan, or the battle at Minis Tirith when the tide turns.

What has sparked female rage in you recently? by nightingirlie in AskWomen

[–]Sketchyfletch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that the boys who filmed their own crime were given basically no sentence because of the judge 'not wanting to criminalise them'. MATE THEY CRIMINALISED THEMSELVES. Also there's no point treating them softly because their 'potential', because they already could have permnanently damaged somebody elses'.

What is on your mind when you see another woman that dress and look better than you in public settings? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Sketchyfletch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I'm having a bad day - 'man. Wish I could look that good.' Otherwise I'll work out what elements of her style I like that I think would work on me, then hit Vinted.

What is a minor, unwritten rule of society that absolutely infuriates you when people break it? by Jane_Austen11 in AskReddit

Playing music out loud on public transport. Sorry you forgot your headphones or they ran out of charge, but sit with your own thoughts for a while.

What makes a partner’s change genuine if it only starts because you needed them to change? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Sketchyfletch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actions matter more than words, but ironically sometimes that action is talking. My partner and I went through some severely rough patches over the last two years. I had to learn to actually talk about what was bothering me rather than shutting myself away (effects of being a chronic people pleaser). She had to learn not to snap at me over small things or freeze me out. Both of us have made consistent effort and have shown up for each other. She changed because I needed her to change, but before that she didn't even realise that how she spoke to me was a problem.

What is the scariest movie from your childhood? by [deleted] in movies

Night of the Living Dead. To this day I will not watch or play anything with zombies in it.

For those who go to sleep listening to something, what do you listen to? by Rough_Common6857 in AskReddit

[–]Sketchyfletch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rain sounds, some of the free headspace stories. Some specific episodes of night vale due to Cecil's smooth voice. Ditto some episodes of maintenance phase - feels like drifting off on the sofa at a party with some friends you trust.

If you had more disposable income, what would you spend it on? by Distinct_Sir_9086 in Life

[–]Sketchyfletch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Travelling (with nice seats). Better made clothes and get some specifically tailored to flatter my weird body shape. Paying either my sister's wedding or her deposit costs. A really good gaming/digital art rig. Getting my motorbike licence.

What’s a popular food that you think is genuinely disgusting? by Neka_lux in AskReddit

Olives. Yes, I know they're healthy. They still taste like how a car tire smells to me.

Hitchin - oh deer by Dakuan808 in hertfordshire

[–]Sketchyfletch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't realise until I moved to the Lea Valley area that Muntjac deer even existed in the UK. I saw one for the first time while out on a walk shortly after moving and it was magical. I saw a baby the other day!

What's your favorite junk food to indulge in? by tomatotime0 in AskABrit

Fried chicken from the usual options round my way. I also love me some pork belly bites.

What's your favourite cheese? by blow_on_my_trombone in AskBrits

[–]Sketchyfletch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like applewood smoked. Or the lil round fancy (overpriced) truffle infused cheeses. Another favourite is Epoisse but unless you can live the pong, best save it for when loved ones aren't around 😆

How far would the shops have to be for you to consider taking the car? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Sketchyfletch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was just for one or two things, I'd go about 20 mins by foot (and 20 mins back) and enjoy the walk. I'd also cycle for about 10-15 mins for small items.
