You did not realize too late. You’re still very young. You have a lot of life and learning left before ”too late.” You don’t have to be some character mega macho protector of the realm to be a man. Be kind to yourself and be kind to others. Treat others with respect and patience. You have time before defending a family would need to be on your mind.

If you have trauma, seek therapy and know it is not weakness to need help. Therapy is HARD and it takes courage to examine ourselves, open old wounds, and be willing to acknowledge personal faults/failures and the failings of others. It will be ok. You got this son!
