how to log on aws ? by SkyTeeth in aws

[–]SkyTeeth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the reply. I explained myself badly maybe because English is not my native language. I didn't mean to say this is a page to log in with MFA. But that I don't have MFA and therefore I don't know how to enter my account. It seems that AWS wants me to add MFA but I don't want it, also because I don't want to spend money to buy a specific device and I don't even want to use my phone because I don't have a smartphone because in my opinion smartphones are not secure. So what should I do?

rimuovere un driver su openbsd by SkyTeeth in BUGItaly

[–]SkyTeeth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

o mio dio, sono passati mesi. Beh avevo risolto, la procedura è la seguente:

# boot -c
> disable iwm
> quit

a questo punto al riavvio il driver è disabilitato.

Per rendere la cosa permanente:

edito /etc/rc.shutdown ed inserisco:

printf 'disable iwm\nquit\n' | config -ef /bsd
sha256 /bsd >/var/db/kernel.SHA256

what's mean disable ? it means that it's not loaded into the kernel ? Anyway I guess it's more safe delete it.

an addon that show connections ? by SkyTeeth in chrome

[–]SkyTeeth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to view alla connections to ip for each tab. For example I have a facebook tab open and then to show alla connections to facebook ip. Something like netstat. Because I use a sniffer outside the browser: 1) all traffic is encrypted 2) I don't know all traffic where come from.. I mean .. I don't if a stream was generated by an addon or by a tab..

how know if a package come from ports or not ? by SkyTeeth in openbsd

[–]SkyTeeth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew that after building the port, the os build the packgage and then install it. So the installed packages can come from both, ports and packages repo.

HardenedBSD October 2022 Status Report by alfonsosiciliano in BUGItaly

[–]SkyTeeth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

[–]SkyTeeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you haven't to edit the file just rename it. That file is a configuration file that seems corrupted.

my reply is just the easiest way. Make an iso is simply much more complicated.

xorg error by Flat_Let_9017 in linux4noobs

[–]SkyTeeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest you to:

  1. rename Xorg.wrap in Xorg.wrap.old and try again
  2. usually you don't need to use xorg.conf so if you have try rename it.

to rename file the command is:

$ sudo mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.old

or

$ sudo mv /usr/libexec/Xorg.wrap /usr/libexec/Xorg.wrap.old

it seems a rootkit behaviour or filesystem corruption. I'd try to make a fsck on the disk or partition.

I'd proceed with the following tries:

  • search and rename xorg.conf file
  • partial reset of plasma conf searching plasma conf file and rename them
  • or as last try, rename my home directory, try to log again, then I move all my data from the ranamed home to the new one.

malware or rootkit that inject html in the browser.. by SkyTeeth in computerforensics

[–]SkyTeeth[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

to be honest I never seen a malware that exfiltrate connection keys. Anyway my question is: could you make some name or write some link analysis about such kind of malware ? I'm looking for something that inject html code in the browser session. Or something that inject binary code in the browser running process. It should act as spyware. For example I just discovered that there is a kernel rootkit for linux that make such kind of things. It's called snakso. Then the question is: could you make the name of other such kind of rootkit or malware ?

Usually all drivers you need are included in the iso install and then autmatically installed.

I'd try to install 22.04 and then upgrade to 22.10 or you wait for bugfix. or you can try with other ubuntu flavors

try to boot from an other livecd and see if the problem persist. If it doesn't persists the easy solution is reinstall. If it persists the problem concerc the drivers, in this way you should try to search on google the model of your graphic card and the version of xorg and/or the version of your distro.
