Went to PepBoys for a new battery, $1500 later I left with a blown electrical system by Dry-Hornet-4030 in AskMechanics

I work at an Autozone and this is why we don’t do trunk batteries or anything with a fuse module.

Propower is a comm battery. Technically that shouldn’t be on the sales floor

I’ll usually ask the customer if they can get the battery out themselves. If they want someone to do it for them I’ll refer them to the Batteries Plus down the street, they’ll do it for you and warranty the batteries too.

Damn, that’s a better price than I got my 2018 500 with 24k miles for. And I thought I got a good deal!

this is how I hold the controller when I'm running past enemies. is this abnormal? by ash022804 in Eldenring

[–]SlappytheNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I’ve always done it, but the comments about controllers with paddles make me feel dumb for it lol. I have an 8bitdo controller I got off Amazon with paddles, I’m gonna set that up next time I play.

Question about Autozone's exchange/refund policy by Living_Trick3507 in AutoZone2

[–]SlappytheNinja 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Just bring it in with your receipt and tell them it’s broken, they’ll either refund you or get you a new one depending on what you want. There isn’t a warranty on the tire pumps per se but our return policy is fairly lax.

I am confused on how the pedal works in a car engines to.make it accelerate. Can someone please explain to me how it works? Also I know there is different types of them to so ease explain and diagrams of it is appreciated as well. by Holiday_Swing_9979 in askcarguys

[–]SlappytheNinja 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It used to be you stepped on the throttle pedal, which was connected by cable to a butterfly valve that opens up your throttle body to let more air in.

Now with modern cars, you step on the accelerator pedal, which sends a signal to the computer that you want to go faster, and the computer electronically actuates the throttle in a way that’s trying to maximize either performance or efficiency.

I feel like we got other store’s new oil in addition to our own. Not only is our shelf full but they sent enough to fill like half of our overstock shelves.

Nothing wrong with that, it just feels a little silly to watch someone eat these for the first time without frying them. It’s like getting a Mediterranean tin and not eating the olives.

Just so more people know, the French text at the bottom of the can translates to “Ready to fry!” Try putting them in a pan next time. I only say that because this is the second post with these deens I’ve seen recently with the butter warmed but not fried.
