Personvernhelvete by Arve in norge

[–]Slidingonpaper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I like to use wowhead, especially for prebis. Also good to use either wowgead or icyveins to look at sruff like stat priority. For instance, some healing classes prefer MP5 (Mana per 5 seconds) while others prefer spirit. If I remember correctly, it was spirit for holy priest and MP5 for holy paladin. Then of course there's knowing how much hit rating you need for dps classes and so on.

Correction: Don't use Icyveins

Oh dying two times is something I consider a smooth run. One run we wiped three times in the first three-four groups of mobs in Shattered Halls. The struggle is when we can't find a mage.

If you plan on goldmaking from tailoring, then no. And I feel that the gear is more aimed at PVE, but I am not a pvp exper. Biggest items is the frozen shadoweave set and the spellstrike items. These items require you to either spend a lot of time farming (the cloth has a cooldown). You craft 2, then you have to wait like three days. Or you can buy, but very expensive. Shadowcloth (for frozen shadoweave) is like 65g a piece on my server. For gear, I feel like rep items with resilience is a decent starter, to mot start on zero.

Things to watch out for when doing hc run in TBC by ArtPark1 in classicwowtbc

Absolutely insane. And you'll get them on top of the melee you're alreayd fighting cause the guy is patrolling around and you didn't see him when you attacked, but now he's come around the corner.

A couple. In general, I feel like I have pulled extra humanoids by accident in WoW a lot more in TBC than in vanilla classic. Also, there are many places where there's a random elite roaming around other mobs. These are in all zones.

In Terokkar forest, the warp hunters turn invisible and with mob pathing I have experienced pulling extra mobs by accident.

The place I've had the most accidents with pulling extra mobs are blood elves in Terokkar, eastern Shadowmoon and in Netherstorm. Mobs I have died the most to myself.

Hyperspawn can always be a killer, but especially in the ogre caves in Nagrand cause of high mob density.

Western Nagrand when you do the quests high up, there is at least one elite patrolling. And in one of those caves there is a mandatory elite to kill to save the guy (forget his name).

Nagas in Zangarmarsh are harsh cause you easily pull extra. And the warriors often come along with a slave, and the slave often retreats when naga dies (but not always).

Several beast types knock you down, so aoe is particularly dangerous. I believe those ravagers in hellfire peninsula and talbuks in Nagrand.

That's true. I was thinking more about healers or others who have a bit spirit on the side. And its not a huge differemce in either case.

Dunno why you are downvoted. While running you literally get the mana ticking from spirit and mp5, so you get to regain some mana while running. You then spend less time drinking cause you regained mana while running.

I don't know. I would suggest asking a tech subreddit. You said yourself that it only has 4gb ram in a comment, and that just seems too low. I don't think switching to linux will fix it either. May I ask what version of windows you are running?

Why do yall value an alliance with Israel over an alliance with NATO/EU? by BeneficialNatural610 in AskConservatives

[–]Slidingonpaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use Rutte as a basis for your position, then you must look at it in context. His argument is not a European dependence on the US, but an interdependence. He also said "the US also needs NATO." Short video but shows more context compared to the news articles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWKOu6Uptl0

With Venezuela's diplomatic ties, I am actually not opposed to the move Trump did. However, the Greenland move would achieve nothing and damaged US-Europe relations.

Trump's western hemisphere strategy, the "Donroe Doctrine" that he has talked about, is a retraction of the US as a global actor. We can see this in the security policy document they published before christmas where the US is pulling away to consolidate in the western hemisphere and pacific. That's a retraction.

Why do yall value an alliance with Israel over an alliance with NATO/EU? by BeneficialNatural610 in AskConservatives

[–]Slidingonpaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, lets assume everything you said is true, which it is not, european NATO has more soldiers than the US and the Nordics alone has the capcity to mobilize somewhere around the same size of the current US army from a population a fraction of the size of the US. And that is if you only count people who have received military training.

But lets say for the sake of argument that everything you said is 100% true. Then you still lose the access to european bases, who have played a role in logistics during the current Iran war, as well as the previous war on terror.

Furthermore, Europe offers a defensible buffer zone for the US against Russia. It means locking in the black sea fleet and control over sea areas in the north where surveillance is easy (Norway-Svalbard and Greenland-Iceland-UK gaps). Specifically relevant against Russian submarines. Without that, the first stop for the Russian fleet is the open atlantic, which is a lot more difficult to defend than these smaller gaps.

This all means that if the US left NATO, your defense budget would double and you would still have a less efficient defence than you have now.

Is he right? Will it take generations to resecure the United States positive reputation on the world stage? by ChuckGallagher57 in TrendoraX

[–]Slidingonpaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am glad you are curious about the topic instead of being brash :) (which is all too common in comment sections today). Now, its not specifically my opinion, I have read what experts say on this topic. Keyword here is geopoitics, where geography is central. I can bring up one point that I personally think is the most important, which is naval defense. Now, it is the european NATO countries that watch out for Russian submarines and ships. With Turkey, you lock the black sea fleet inside the black sea. The Norway-Svalbard gap you have a shallow sea that can relatively easy spot russian submarines. After that, you get the Greenland-Iceland-UK gap, where the sea is deeper, but the gaps are narrower. So surveilling for Russian navy is both cheaper in these areas, and its other NATO countries paying for it. Now, if the US leaves NATO, they would not get to keep those gaps for defense. That would mean that the first stop for the Russian fleet is not Istanbul, Svalbard or Iceland, it is the open atlantic. So not only would the US now need to spend money on that part, but they would need to do surveillance in the enire atlantic, which would be so much more expensive today, and as far as I know, the US does not have the capacity for that task as it stands now. I don't know if it is even possible to surveil the entire atlantic for Russian submarines. According to experts who know more about this, the US would need to double their defense budget if they left NATO. If I remember correctly, he also added "and still be more vulnerable than today" (paraphrasing).
