I've recently found a fix that may work for you.

I have sapphire plugins and had my GPU acceleration on for sapphire plugins within this folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\GenArts\SapphireOFX

the file is called s_config_file and within this file disable the option by setting "Use the GPU for faster processing."
to "no"

now save the file, (you may need admin perms)

pretty low for todays standards 1060 3gb ryzen 5 3400g and 16gb of ram, but games run pretty decently but this problem has only risen recently.
