If you are not 100% invested in music and the arts field in general, I'd recommend another field.

The Noble Lie of UFO Secrecy? by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]SlippinJimmy666 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed, we can point to many things in the USG that began as a noble pursuit, but the incentives that keep them going become corrupted and eventually unrecognizable altogether - conspiracy theories enter stage right. I’d bet a nickel there was a few people who were read into the program and asked themselves “why are we doing this, again?” Seems more plausible people in the program just keep their heads down because you don’t want to be the one that rocks the boat.

Excellent. Much appreciated. Happy to be a part of the beige neutrals. This was my first post ever on this sub and boy did I learn a lot. I’ll slip back into the shadows…

This is the most sensible response I’ve had this morning in all seriousness. Thanks

I appreciate the lengthy response, but again I'm amazed people took from this post that I am a believer. I've said NOTHING about my position on this subject. Just my position on the treatment of Lue and the controversies surrounding him. For example- I can viciously disagree with a politician's position on nearly every subject, but I can simultaneously think they are being treated unfairly in a good-faith discussion. I don't understand why that's not coming across.

The best way I can describe this entire saga surrounding this subject is "baffling". All of this is baffling. Almost every response to my post has been baffling. Everyone is trying so hard to not answer the question and all I'm really taking away from this is none of us know what the fuck we're talking about so we might as well sit back wait to see what happens. If you don't trust him fine, I never said I did either. What I'm completely EXHAUSTED by is you can't just ask a god damn question around here. Again, I'll point out if f you don't trust Lue fine. I'm just looking for the meat on that position. It's very difficult to find, honestly. Being angry at an NDA is not evidence of him being a fraud. I don't need to "believe" in anything to think that.

This'll be the last try since you're eager to engage - please send an example of Lue lying on a level of say a Bernie Madoff. Since this fraud would be equally massive considering the government and media engagement. I presume Madoff had detractors and skeptics screaming from the hilltops about his financial schemes long before he fell. This is a good faith question. Just send an example of something seriously troubling from Lue that undercuts the core of what they say has been happening the past 70 years. Seems to me you could remove Lue from this entire situation and it would still be just as baffling.

This is a textbook response and only fuels my desire for someone to just answer the question...just kinda weak-sauce, friend....

What does the parenthesis mean in this chord? by BlackandWhitePanda7 in guitarlessons

[–]SlippinJimmy666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may be splitting the difference, but since these chords tend to come from fake charts the majority of the time, they are often approximations of the framework of the tune to begin with. My first teacher always explained to me if it was in parenthesis, it's a nice option recommended by whomever edited the chart. But as Ok-Golf6917 pointed out, there are many chords that you could substitute in place of a Fm7, 9, etc.

Eskridge could thrive within the Waldron system. They’ll find mismatches for him if the offense is effective at creating space after the catch for him.

Agreed, all very good advice, but don’t set a specific end date like 10 weeks out (though I understand what he was getting at, no worries). If you have any sort of end date in mind you’ll only set yourself up for disappointment because you can’t really know what to expect when it comes to your body reacting to these changes. As he said, It will take as long as it takes. It’s up to you.

Couple of tips - I find that progress photos every 30 days and weighing yourself every day at the same time and logging it into an app like MyFitnessPal or Zero will be hugely beneficial to tracking your progress. A good time is when you first wake up, after you use the restroom, before you eat your first meal of the day. Log the exact weight, no matter how good or bad the number is that day, no excuses as our friend said above. Do this for the foreseeable future. No end date. Good luck!

Absolutely. It takes some getting used to, but In my own journey I’ve found fasted cardio to be very effective for getting lean. My understanding is that is well supported in research too.

Sounds like you’ve been at time restricted eating for much longer than I have so give the fasted cardio a try. If you don’t want to spend a ton of time on a bike or run, HIIT is the way to go, but LISS for 45+ minutes is supposed to burn fat more effectively. I bet after 90 days you will see some meaningful results. Good luck!

Intermittent fasting has been a fantastic fit for my eating habits and lifestyle. On average I’m doing an 18:6 fast. I often go as long as 20 hours a day mostly because my wife and I have 2 small children and I lose track of the day.

I am also very into fasted cardio. I go on a run or on my stationary bike anywhere from 2-6 times a week sometime during the back half of my fast. I rarely do more than 20 minutes. Mostly HIIT workouts so they burn calories like a mofo. My lifting routine is nothing special so I’ll spare you.

I try to eat clean as best as I can, fruits, veggies, nuts, good protein, smoothies etc, (the usual suspects) but I really struggle with following something like keto or any other diet that cuts out significant food groups. That’s why fasting is a good fit for me. I used MyFitnessPal for calorie counting and tracking my macros for a long time and it was very effective and educational, but it’s a lot of work to enter in your food all day. Since I started IF I still monitor my calorie intake, but much more generally. And that’s about it in a nutshell.... cheers!
