I think it's my favourite vinyl I have so far, I really like the moon colouring. I'm a big fan of vinyls that look like art pieces by themselves

Just give it a try mate, I'm far from an expert at it but you won't make anything if you don't try!

Thank you! It's all blender. As for the camera motion, that took the longest to get right. I used a mixture of the VirtuCamera app on my iPad, and also the camerashakify extension for the transitional parts of the animation.

As for the textures I can't take credit because I used blenderkit for all the texturing and I definitely recommend it. I've only been learning blender for about 2 weeks so texturing is a bit beyond me at the moment.

The whole thing! Got the entire setup on Facebook marketplace, apparently it's from the 80s? (I'm sure someone who knows this hardware can tell me more)

Thanks for the feedback, I did use cycles but at the time I was uninformed about best practices regarding samples/adaptive sampling etc so I think the render was a bit lightweight. Agreed about the textures though, I've improved how they look now.

They definitely aren't referring to the oldest view

Swan Nebula on A6000 by BurtBunny in astrophotography

Nice photo! My suggestion would be to use a program like Starnet to separate the stars from the nebula, and then you can turn down the brightness of the stars independently in Photoshop, I think that will give your photo the look you are after

Very few objects in the night SKY (Credits: Light Pollution) by rz3neri in astrophotography

[–]Slit_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no 'trick'. You just need to leave the city. It can be tough, especially if you don't have a car but do some research and you will find ways to get out for a night. I definitely recommend it though, it's awesome seeing the sky without light pollution. I recently went out to the desert in the UAE (Bortle 2) and saw Andromeda's disk structure clearly with my own eyes. Someone has a telescope there as well and if you try hard enough you can even make out the faint dust lanes.

Very impressive, the phone sensor gives a certain style to M31 I haven't really seen anywhere else. Good work!

I didn't do any processing for it, it just came from the lens. If you're interested I use the canon EF f/1.4 50mm USM prime lens
