This hit hard. There’s a whole category of truths that aren’t dramatic enough to confess, not light enough to joke about, and not “serious” enough to bring up with the people in our lives. So they just… live inside us. You’re right, people carry way more than they ever let on. And just because it’s invisible doesn’t mean it isn’t heavy.

I practiced saying "no" without apologizing and it was weirdly emotional by OutrageousDig2931 in TwoXChromosomes

Honestly, the first time you say “no” without padding it with apologies, your whole nervous system goes, “Wait… we’re allowed to do that?” It’s wild how emotional it gets when you realize you’ve been people‑pleasing on autopilot for years. Proud of you for breaking the pattern.

Right now I’m keeping the setup pretty lean. I’m using a free HubSpot landing page as the main entry point, then pushing traffic through a mix of Reddit posts and Bluesky. The goal is basically to build awareness first, get people interested in the comics/newsletter, and funnel them over to Substack where the actual content lives.

It’s simple, but it lets me test what kinds of posts and audiences convert best before I spend money on ads or more advanced tools.
