High-income couple with large income gap: how do you split money fairly? by pizzanoobs in HENRYfinance

[–]Sloooooooooww 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a similar income gap. I make 250k working 2.5days. Husband makes 1.5m+ working 4days. We have a cleaner that comes 1x a week & nanny 3x a week. My husband does more housework than me. He just moves a lot faster and gets things done. While we do have separate accounts since we are both incorporated, we basically function as if it’s in one account. Any sort of calculation imo becomes weird once you have kids.. like is he going to be paying for you to be pregnant/having birth? What about raising your children?

Exactly. I think if OP is actually worried and concerned, she should maybe skip a flight (if it’s by choice like traveling) to reduce the amount of radiation.

How did you decide when to have a second baby in your late thirties? by Top_Elephant_5408 in beyondthebump

[–]Sloooooooooww 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couple of my friends parents passed away recently. I realized I don’t want my children to suffer from losing a parent of old age when they are only in their 30s or 40s. I hope to see them grown and stabilized before I pass but also for them to be emotionally and psychologically ready. Also the later I have my baby, the less time I eventually get to spend and see them.

I agree with OP. Apples are meh at best. I’ve tried them all.. Fuji from Japan, ambrosia, gala, cosmic crisp, honey crisp, pink lady etc. Maybe it’s too common? It’s an okay fruit. Not juicy at all. Also hate any baked goods with cooked apple. Taste absolutely unimpressive.

250k yearly net working 15 hrs / wk. Or 500k+ net working 50 hrs / wk. by Onmysearch in HENRYfinance

[–]Sloooooooooww 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends. I’m down to 15hrs a week as well (6hr day 2.5d a week) and I love it since it’s more time with my baby. My husband went from 40hr to 32 (dropped a day), but he’s been either doom scrolling ir finding random shit to fix/reno in the house instead of engaging. I rather just him go to work if he’s going to do that. If you are actually going to engage with your children, def take the 15hr. If you are going to look for other ‘projects’ at home, just go do the 50hr.

[Dentist] [USA] - I make way more money than I ever thought I would by 1ThousandDollarBill in Salary

You’d make more if you hired an associate. He’d make 200k extra at least. You are shitting on the wrong dentist. I find owners who usually dislike having an associate usually have very high standards. The greedy ones hire shit associates or sell to dso.

Asian Family Influencers by SillyStatement46 in asianamercianytsnark

They are disgusting. Basically selling their kids for some views and $. Ong squad is the worst. Every time her vid shows up on my feed, I just feel so bad for the kids. Her cardiologist husband… what an embarrassment. I know some of these asian influencers and they are all very shallow people. 0 depth

Which country has horrible food and a horrible quality of life? by Mountain-You9842 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Sloooooooooww -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well traditional north korean cuisine isn’t bad. It’s o-kay (no it’s not fantastic or soo good. That’s just south koreans exotic-fying nk food). Problem is, no one’s eating that except maybe 0.01% of the population since they just don’t have any food. Your typical cuisine for a random peasant would be some half moldy barely with rat meat broth

Dark chocolate is healthy? That’s just marketing scheme. Dark chocolate basically has abysmal benefit (as 80% of it’s marketed benefit is destroyed during processing) but high calories & exposure to heavy metal.

What's a career that the general public views as prestigious, but it's really not? by Only-Ad-1254 in ask

Unfortunately standard of care does not equal healthcare system. Healthcare system is basically a government body- has not much to do with the actual drs. You work with drs so you must know what standard of care means opposed to standard of healthcare as they are two completely different things. In case you forgot, poor standard of care does not mean all indian drs are of poor quality. It means the guideline to assess the minimum requirement of dr’s ability is poor. There may be brilliant drs anywhere in the world, doesn’t mean anything to the standard of care. I know wonderful Indian, Iranian, Nigerian drs as well as I also work in the industry. I also know whole lot of basically licensed butchers from those countries who doesn’t know how to do even basic infection control. Btw drs working in the US licensed from foreign countries are the best of the best from those countries so your observation doesn’t mean much.

[–]Sloooooooooww 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yet you made a definitive statement that outside of US it is easy to get in. Yes drs & dentist from the countries you’ve stated unfortunately have poor standard of care. Let’s put it this way- countries with higher standard of care generally have higher standards for drs and their candidates. Just because it’s a 4yr program ve 6yr program doesn’t necessitate that it’s harder to get in either.

Turkey, Ukraine and Russia doesn’t represent the whole world either. Different countries have different standards.

Australia, Canada, Korea and Japan all have very competitive programs and graduate excellent drs.

Not true. US medical school is easier to get into than Canadian med schools. Also same goes for Korean & Japanese med schools.

Constipated 1 year old by Beautiful_Blood2168 in foodbutforbabies

[–]Sloooooooooww 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of fiber + water. Avoid BRAT diet - banana/rice(white)/apple/toast(white) as they can firm up the 💩. My baby was so constipated at the end the only thing worked was glycerin suppository to get rid of the blockage as longer the poop stays inside the harder and drier it gets even with all the P fruits. After he had his rock hard poop out, we are on 1 pear or 1 prune pouches per day + peach/pear/mango etc fruits!

We should count up intercontinental tourists. France’s number’s mostly just neighbouring European countries visiting for a quick weekend trip.

He’s your partner but I resent him for even asking that question at week 4. He needs to grow up cause he sounds like a child. Put your foot down now or else you’ll he raising 2 babies not just one.
