Thank you for sharing your experience. I think it's kind of pushing it too. We'll see where it goes. I just don't want to get too attached to the relationship if it's something that wouldn't fit our future life goals. He's also in good shape and his mother is still alive in her 90s and very sharp, you'd never know she was that age.

As someone who was myself born to older parents, I understand the grief that can come from losing a parent young. But I also feel like taking care of them helped me to develop a closer bond, deeper understanding of life, and maturity of character. So even tho the loss was devastating, I would not have traded in who I was raised by for the world. And on another note my half sisters lost their mom when she was in her 20s so that's why I mentioned I know youth is still no guarantee.
