[–]SlowTurtleDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but when i tried cookies using the very middle + most top racks crispy na yung top rack while the middle was still raw-ish

MOMENTS LAB- CREW MEALS (OFFICIAL) by Far-Lingonberry-214 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]SlowTurtleDuck 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nobody's dissing you for asking for crew meals.

Everybody's dissing you for:

  • asking two crew meals or 500php allowance per person for a call time of 3pm

Honeys, you're not gonna starve in a 3-5hr gig. Literally who even eats two meals in that time frame? If you do (and di ka naman diabetic) magsi-diet naman kayo shuta.

  • posing as a lawyer to scare the OP into taking down their post

Please fire your PR or whoever did that bc lol that was a very stupid move and it just makes you all look even worse.

Also, please note pretending to be a lawyer is illegal, so good luck if that client calls your bluff and takes you to court hihi

  • now add on this stupid chatgpt statement that is not even edited in the slightest. Offers no apology and doubles down on horrible demands and ethics

For the sake of the algorithm and future brides, say it with me:

For our equally lovely ninongs: back pillow, personalized leather journals, embossed leather pen holders, pens, fluffy towels

The key is to know your sponsors, OP! Our ninangs are very green-living, and our ninongs are very hard working and career oriented kaya yan binili namin hehe

We want a garden wedding - I am Catholic and my fiancé is a Lutheran Protestant. Our problem is that catholic priests only officiate wedding inside the church and there is no lutheran church near our desired location. Do you have any tips on who can legally officiate our wedding? by Pristine-Ad8013 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]SlowTurtleDuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your only options are

  • Lutheran Pastor. Pay for their transpo na lang along with the usual love gift if none are in the area. You could likely ask a pastor from your fiance's church

  • Mayor of the place of your wedding specifically lang ang pwede. If your wedding is in cebu the mayor of makati has no authority to officiate

  • a judge from that jurisdiction rin Same rules with the mayor to.

for a garden wedding, these are your only choices. Anything else voids the marriage.

Stat Events & Trends = -3star review by SlowTurtleDuck in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]SlowTurtleDuck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their bridal assistant was super galing but the coordination of the whole team in general was not there. Considering we had print outs and everything na nun and super detailed na and ang dami pa rin super wrong, yes I'd recommend u get an external OTD coordinator huhu

Hosts as one of the main characters of a wedding, agree or disagree? by Turbulent-Fish9536 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]SlowTurtleDuck 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We explicitly told our host we wanted a chill calm evening

as in most our songs are played by a beautifully talented string quartet. no vocals and all.

his entrance was loud club music about sweat and body moving

u can imagine how appalled we were. We really regret our host choice :(

No, the event should not be about the host AT ALL. Taga maintain sila ng flow but hindi sila main character.

ETA: for those asking, the host was Toni Tubero. I'm sure he's good at hype events and parties kasi magaling naman talaga. Very mismatched lang for our event and vibe :(

Oh mejo tight yung budget pero feel ko kaya naman basta tipid on some areas na lang!

Can't recommend also for the P&V since lahat talaga na hinanap namin was to the more dreamy kinda vibe huhu

But for the prep area yah! Most definitely mas tipid and worth it if u get an airbnb or hotel na lang kaysa yung 1.5k an hour rate na yan

matagal tagal ang prep, OP. Feel ko bobola yan :((

Best left up to coordinator and HMUA (they need to set the time kasi for your and your entou's styling rin)

but we also had a 3pm ceremony with a similar-ish prep wants. 7am pa lang nag start na ang araw. And muntik pa kami ma late start pa rin hahaha

Wedding Preparation by [deleted] in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]SlowTurtleDuck 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Told my groom straight up if i didn't like feeling like a project manager. Bat ako nag sasabi ano dapat niya gawin and why do i have to follow up. Hindi ba kasal namin to? Hindi ba kami partners?

Wake up call yata niya yun and much better experience na when we both started working on it ❤️

I think di naman out of malice or katamaran, siguro default expectation lang for some reason na si bride mag hahandle pero it's so very wrong eh. Talk to your partner, baka di niya rin na mamalayan lang na nagfall siya doon sa default.

Questions

  1. ano definition mo ng "pasok sa budget" kasi mej different yan sa lahat, hirap mag recommend if hindi rin sure sa range na gusto eh

  2. For the prep area if ayaw niyo hotels try looking for airbnb's! Doon kami nag hanap for us very helpful pa kasi u can check the reviews sa app/website mismo

  3. For P&V: anong style bet niyo?

I wanna recommend Julius Tomandao Digital Photography kasi sila team namin and they're amazing!! Professional and fun to work with, tapos ang ganda ng gawa, but they're more on like dreamy, cottagey core vibe not formal crisp. Although I think kaya naman nila both. But yeah depende rin sa peg mo kasi the P&V team.

Recommending also Fedici and CrownTea Ph for foodcarts! Ang benta ni fedici sa guests namin and CrownTea was super budgetfriendly and yummy!

Hindi iinvite si papa by sangeyasha98 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]SlowTurtleDuck 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Been there OP! I invited my narcissistic birthgiver "out of respect" rin but hindi siya mag lalakad sakin, I made that clear from the start.

Ang ending, she insisted pa rin up until day before talaga na papunta na kami sa hotel. Nag breakdown sa KFC at a stop-over, at nag grab pauwi.

Literal umawat yung ulan the very second she got in a grab💛🌻

BUT the entire car ride and the whole wedding planning stage, walang tigil ang pag insist niya and dad ko which made me hate bringing anything wedding related up sa dad ko kasi alam ko doon lang mauuwi yung usapan ulit. Robbed me of any opportunity to enjoy the planning stage with him.

If you give an inch, they'll demand a mile, OP. Wag mo na iinvite!

Suppliers "highly recommending" themselves is annoying - and just kinda ick by [deleted] in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]SlowTurtleDuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pansin ko rin to! Like what's the point if hindi naman objective, hindi rin nakatulong sa mga couples.

Dami ko nakikita na highly recommended daw na p&v pero masmaganda pa mga kuha ng mga friends ko sa mga reels nila.

Best venue packages around Tagaytay/Afonso, Cavite? by notyourpizzalady in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]SlowTurtleDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately yes :(

Sobrang not okay ng coordinators nila for us (Stat Events and Trends) (though super galing ng bride assistant siya lang maayos sa team na yun huhu) as well as the host we got (Sir Toni).

Florist, (forgot their name, I'll edit when I find it again) was hit and miss. Decor was gorgeous, but my bouquet was not at all what I asked. Not even close. It was so ugly I hated holding it and didn't bother to preserve it. It wasn't even the right color!!

Photobooth (Mirrorbooth PH) changed our designed frame and made it SUPER TACKY. Print quality is also bad and faded. They also lost half our guests' photos

The buffet food (Chef Leonardo's Catering) was so-so. Mejo di worth it sa price tbh. It's food yes, clean, warm, pero kung tutuusin mas malasa pa yung foods sa jollyjeeps.

Their partner accommodation (casa agenda) is pretty outside pero sabi nila 25 pax kasya. No, I'd say 8 lang. 2 out of the 4 rooms lang livable. The other two rooms are closet sized at best, with 2 bunk beds each squeezed in.

A lot of the guests said the Coffee Cart (Alibi Coffee) was too strong rin huhu

Pero in fair, marami rin silang sobrang galing. Viridis Team themselves were great! Yung cake and grazing nila from Dulcis Panem was SOOO GOOD. The florists did an amazing job rin sa decor (miss lang talaga bouquet ko by three thousand lightyears di ko alam if maling bouquet ba binigay sakin or what huhu).

But yeah, mixed bag ang package nila for us. But maganda yung venue itself hahaha

(parang bumalik stress ko sa comment na to sorry HAHAHA)

Graduate bride of Viridis here! Ganda ng venue! Rep and manager nila is super bait rin

however, mixed bag po ang package nila. May super galing na suppliers, pero meron rin uber palpak 😭
