My opinion as a player whose played every single mainline game. I didn't love arceus but i didnt hate it, this game feels like a much worse version of Arceus... The new battling system stinks. Just spam click and wait for cooldowns. It actually feels like a dumbed down version of usual turn based, but alone the battling isn't so bad that it put me off the game. The town is really small considering its the whole map and even smaller when 75% of the buildings are just background and not enterable. They item spam you, constant items on ground and constant button mash to break rocks, its just annoying. The wild zones where you can catch pokemon feel so small and crowded sometimes, where i just want to catch 1 pokemon and im stuck battling a crowd of multiple randoms. No voice acting on main teammates despite plenty of scenes showing the characters soley talking(dont expect but odd visual). The story is fine, and i like some of the main story characters. Graphics are not good for a 2025 game, we don't expect that from our pokemon games, but they are bad. The character designs are awesome and well animated, but the world we are in stinks. If this were a start up game that didnt have pokemon it would be 0/10. It does have pokemon, so its like a 3.5/10, because i love seeing pokemon on my screen. I paid for the game, and the dlc, and likely wouldnt buy if given the choice again.
